Well just got back visiting my grandfather in Florida and he took me to the range for the first time. Was my first time ever firing a hand gun. He wanted me to start on my grandmother's Walther .22, but the range was out of .22 rounds. So i went right to a .38 and tried out his Ruger .45. Had a blast i'm hooked. It's too bad MA is a pain when it comes to pistol permits.
How'd I do?

I will be searching around and deciding on what I want. If I'm going to spend $2000 on a pistol I want to be sure it's one I'll be happy with and one that I got the best deal I could find on. Any other recommendations you've got on 1911s would be awesome.
Those look fantastic, good job!
The only thing I'm still looking for is 223/556 for cheap and maybe a little more 30-06. I'll probably buy a little of whatever I shoot when I go, but I'm over 2000 on 9mm and 7.62x39 (almost 2600 when I get my spam can). I have around 1300 for my AR right now.
My buddy ordered a couple PSA lowers today, so I'm getting whichever comes first (either PSA or All Star Tactical). I'll probably end up with 2 lowers now, so I guess I'll build another rifle later this year too"If there must be trouble let it be in my day, that my child may have peace." -Thomas Paine

Wilson Combat, Les Baer and Ed Brown are the way to go for a top top tier 1911's. Colt and Dan Wesson I would say are top Tier but not the same custom offerings (obviously depends on the model). I personally would go for a WC... I have a Colt so I'm also trying to decide what my next 1911 might be.
