uh, Front Squats
I just got over my love/hate relationship with squats since I have no leg press to fall back on. Still hate deadlifts, but I know I gotta do 'em. Probably need a class or someone to judge how I can do better. Still at 265 with straps x8, or 285 x6 .“God will not have his work made manifest by cowards” - RWE

A lot times those people are squatting with knees in or out and not tight like they should be OR with bad foot position.
Agreed. Ever get pain around your elbow or inside of elbow? I only notice it the most when hitting a movement that utilizes a lot of bicep.Blessed be the Lord, my rock, who trains my hands for war and my fingers for battle...." - Psalms 144:1

Regarding knee pain during squats. People often don't realize that as long as you don't bounce or squat over your toes going deeper is actual safer for your knees. Think about it. Guys load up the bar with WAY too much weight (which unnecessarily compresses your spine but that's a different issue). Then they go part of the way down, slam on the breaks and quickly reverse. Talk about stress on your knees!

I don't avoid squats completely, but I do them sparingly. To be completely honest, squats have always scared the crap out of me......even when I was younger and playing football in high school and college. I'm 6'6" and have been since my junior year of high school. That's a long way down and, more importantly, a loooooooong way back up. Fast forward to present day, and I am 42 years old with almost no cartilage left in my knees.......not pleasant at all. But I still squat. I just try to be wise enough to listen to my body and go lower weight or take a break for a couple of weeks as needed.

Hahaha your love for Black Cherry knows no bounds. I wasn't a big fan of that flavor though...Orange Creme is straight hnnnggg and Tropical Ice is a nice change up (one of the few fruit punch flavors in any sup that i actually enjoy).
In the end though, JETMASS is just straight awesome. Doesn't really matter the flavor when the stuff works!iForce Blueberry Muffin: forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=169778043

For me, keeping my feet in a 'natural position' and focusing on keeping my legs tight inline down and up has helped my knees tremendously; progressing slowly but still progressing. Health and longevity are my goals. I haven't gotten any knee sleeves, but have considered them just for health and safety insurance. Wally World is selling those Brett Favre copper ones.
Same situation here. My left elbow has a constant soreness, left shoulder, too. I'm doing some rotator stretching before and chest or shoulder exercise to help.

Great question. And YES! Look at the NFL, sprinters, etc. All have functional strength and plenty of stellar physiques. There are even many strongman and....I hate to admit it....crossfit athletes....who have amazing physiques. I love all compound movements, over movements, agility and core exercises. Much more than machine and cable work. Often the only thing keeping a,functionally strong football player or strongman from an amazing, lean physique is diet. These guys are athletes purposely eating for sheer size.

Nothing wrong with dropping the reps down to 4 to 6 on these movements. Practice and perfect your technique and gradually increase weight.
Squats, lunges, overhead presses. All functional. All tremendous exercises.iSatori Rep

Write a book already, dude; so I can buy it and put right next to my Encyclopedia of Modern Bodybuilding. It would be epic.
Still learning. I took your A/B day program that you shared and added some variation but sticking to the primary movement types for each day; a kind of Strength/Hypertrophy/Performance(?) hybrid. 2 week cycles.“God will not have his work made manifest by cowards” - RWE
