i used to be a huge follower of IIFYM. But when i just didnt have access to junk food in my house, i was forced to learn how to cook healthy meals. The difference i feel in eating clean nutrient dense foods compared to KFC or other ****, is black and white. I still follow IIFYM but its not like i want to, im busy as fuk when it comes to school, gym, and work. its conveinant to eat ramen.

The guys in the above pictures are not natural and got below 5% bodyfat by not following IIFYM. You were saying?
This is just turning into a difference in goals. I could care less what those nattys did or do. At the end of the day I can't even recognize a single one and they will fall off the face of the earth one day as guys who didn't even look like they lifted in a shirt. I look towards the methods of successful IFBB pros and model my training/diet off of them. Yea everyone is different but it's the general concepts that are important. By promoting this IIFYM diet to anyone and everyone on these forums you are negatively impacting the progress of many teens that want to actually be successful one day and win some professional shows instead of being 175 5% after 10 years of training.
Like I said, If you don't care about how your body looks but just want to be a smaller person and a certain weight then by all means IIFYM could be the diet for you.

They all eventually turn into glucose.
So you're saying we should avoid supplements, like whey protein?
So basically eating 'garbage' in moderation.. That's IIFYM. Herp derp.

Let's see which diet is going to get you better results.
Diet 1. Consuming nothing but pasta. That's a 'clean food' so technically it's ok to eat. Hold on for a second, that leaves you with very little protein, fats, and important micronutrients.
Diet 2. Consuming a wide variety of foods you enjoy, that hit all your protein, fats and carbs, getting all your fiber, vitamins and minerals, but allowing 10-20% of processed foods.
Please respond.
By the way, there is anecdotal evidence on both sides, many great transformations, but there's science behind only one of them.

Stats: 5'11", 163 lbs
Not gonna argue with some kid that looks like shit.
Dump the crossfit or p90x or whatever it is that you're doing and do some lifts that actually promote growth.
This is the problem with you guys. Until you can show me a successful IFBB pro that clearly states "I approve of IIFYM." I'm not gonna even gonna consider it. I don't give a **** how many studies or 175lb. natural lifters eating poptarts you post, I have goals set higher than that. Meanwhile we got little 160lb. kids running around spouting IIFYM this and IIFYM like it's the next coming of jesus.

You're quoting IFBB pros, which actually do follow IIFYM, as they fit food into their macros. Oh yeah, should I mention that they're on certain 'illegal supplements'?
This guy eats ****loads of processed foods.
The stuff you see they tell you about their diet and supplementation in interviews are all ****ING LIES.
They are sponsored by supplement companies to PROMOTE SUPPLEMENT USE. Eating frequently, only clean foods, certain times all that is designed to make you feel like shiet and use convenient, 'NECESSARY' supplements that apparently give you 'the edge'. They are PAID to promote supplement use.
Another few example of IIFYM followers:

Let me ****ing see.. IFBB pros aren't natty.
Lee Priest eats processed foods, gets shredded. Ronnie Coleman loves BBQ sauce. That's a processed food.
All bodybuilders talk about cheat meals/cheat days, in moderation. That's ****ing IIFYM. Whether you eat 1 poptart a day or one day a week where you eat 7 makes no ****ing difference.

I knew flexforall would pop up in this discussion.
Obviously these morons in here are confused...no one is suggesting you eat pop tarts 6 times a day.
If you're short on hitting them macros at the end of they then a doughnut or double cheesburger is perfectly fine. quit over thinking you *******s☆☆☆¢v¢☆☆☆
