brahs what do you use to play music in your car from your Android phone?
I tried using a 3.5 to 3.5 mm cable, plugged it into the AUX but the sound quality is terrible. I think what I am looking for is a MDI adapter to plug into the center arm rest where it says 'media in'. You can buy it directly from VW but it is like 40 bucks?

I have the crap VW iPod adapter in my glove box where you can only use playlists pretty much - bought a cable similar to above but with iPod female connector and the quality is perfect through my Android.

Generally Audi's engineers focus more on innovation than long-term dependency of parts. For example Audi was one of the first car companies to implement a direct-injected engine with their FSI engine, but the long-term effect of the FSI engine (and any other with DI) is that you have carbon buildup in the intake manifolds which overtime hurt performance. Audis are great cars, but buying them second-hand can sometimes be a complete disaster!
