I'm not saying it's not a bad idea, I'm just saying for all these goobers that regularly use VPNs, Pirate Games, Pirate Movies, use camo unlock tools and other various cheats and backs regularly, the simple concept of picking a different region is simply unheard of.

I'll be the first to admit I missed the 'requirement' and have a ton of time in the game. Forcing third-party service sign-in is a trash-tier requirement through. It was scummy 10 years ago and it's still scummy today. No it's not much work (I already had PSN so whatever) but it is another step, another chance at having a problem, another inconvenience, and another thing I ultimately don't need and won't use.

The game will suffer because of it and future Sony games on PC will be scrutinized harder for it.

Just to correct one major thing, there are 195 countries and the population isn't evenly distributed among them. Even steam is not available in many areas. The places Sony delisted wouldn't account for losing the majority of players that offer steam so those 120 or so delisted countries will account for a very small percentage of the overall player base.

The vast majority of HD2 players on Steam will still be able to buy the game.
