1989 brah checking in.
Childhood was a mf' blast!!! Kids these days are all cooped up inside with their electronic gadgets and ****.
I used to be outside 24/7. To get ahold of a friend I'd ride my bike over to his house not texting bull **** kids do today!! or "fb" them. Kids need that human interaction mane for real or they're missing out on a great childhood.wise people are diligent.

Fuark. I miss being a kid. Seriously. Life is such **** now, almost makes me want to crey. Brb excited all the time about things. Happy all the time. Everything was new and fresh. Go to school, fidget it class until recess, play pokemon cards / marbles / pogs until class. Wait until lunch and run the food trade market. Then last recess pretend to be mechwarriors or army men. Chill with all your friends.
Brb "Ghost riding" bicycles for the luls. Playing "red ass" or "wall ball". Where you throw a ball at a wall, and if someone catches it before it bounces once than you line up on wall and people wing the ball at you. If someone tries to catch and fumbles, you whip it at them. Brb getting suspended for snowball fights. BRB sleepovers at friends house, drinking 2L of pop and playing video games. Then N64 Came out and nights of Goldeneye multi, karatechops only for the luls.
Brb SNES Chrono Trigger, FF3, Spike McFang, Super Turrican, Bubsy, Secret of Evermore Brb every friday rolls around and you get excited because you did your chores for the week and you can rent a game. And it didn't matter what game you got, at that age they were always fun.
Brb asking mom for a letter to give to crossing guard so you can go to your friends house after school and being excited as ****. Watching Pokemon and learning life lessons about friendship and committment. TV lineup each night of pokemon, rugratsm stickin' around. SNES was the ****, brb waking up early to grind a few levels in FF3, even if I only had 15 min would fire it up and do like 3 battles then leave for school.
Brb get in trouble at school and never feel worse, the nervousness was huge and scary. Brb basically spend the days chillin with friends dickin around at school. Brb first time kissing a girl in public pool, brb grade 7-8 school dances first slow dance to Celine Dion - Titanic song.
Summer rolls around, street hockey, throwing stones at eachother, hiking in trails behind my house, chillin in the shade under a few trees.
Brb go to friend shouse to see if hes hoime, hes not, check back in a few hours. Brb really bored and call every 30 mins.
Brb being young and having dreams that you could be anything, before you close doors when you don't even realize it. brb being an astronaut, music star or firefighter. Brb being someone from my favorite cartoon. So much more wonderment and mystery
I really feel like the world has gone backwards.
**** brahs. Where did it go? We wanted nothing more but to grow up, and now we want to go back...

I agree OP. repped.
You should have told your parents to not spoil him.
My gf's little sister is the biggest spoiled brat you could ever meet. It makes me rage hard. I alway give her shyt about it too.
For christmas, her dad got her -
$500 camera
PS3 (when she already has an xbox AND wii)
Tons of games for ps3/xbox/wii
New lap top (she already had 3 other lap tops before the age of 12)
2 new pairs of shoes (expensive fukkin ones) (jordans and osiris)
like 5 $50 gift cards to places around here
tons of clothes
New ipad
Nook color
^^^^ And this girl is only 13 years old....... I want to rage so hard at the father for buying her all of this shyt but what will that do?
He's a beta as fukk father

The sad part is that the majority of people complaining here will probably allow their kids to waste away their childhood infront of the lcd screens because it's convenient.
Be proactive parents, make sure they're familiar with the outdoors from an early age, don't spoil them silly with technology, encourage them to creatively entertain themselves.

I 100% agree. I have a 14y/o brother who just texts allllllll day and plays video games.
I remember running around outside because I WASN'T ALLOWED INSIDE on nice days. Now a days it doesn't even matter to these kids. I feel like they're missing out on basic outdoor social interaction.
Feels bad. I would give anything to be 5y/o again. Basically ages 5-14 were the best years ever.
