Farkin' LOL
Yep. Was actually my first time baking sweet potatoes and apparently at that size they take about 90mins not 40! Lesson learnt. I think I might just nuke them for a bit first and then bake next time. Thoughts? (I know Anurag is not happy with my lack of sweet potato skills)

A little pre-nuke could work but it's really hard to rush WHOLE baked (sweet) potatoes unfortunately. You need to budget for at least 70 mins to get the caramelization on the skin. If you want faster results best thing is to just cut them up into fries or discs, can have legit baked fries in under 40 mins if you cut them right. Still takes ages though

Went for a walk down the beach at lunch time and did my normal front lever, pullups inverted rows combo & a few other bits and pieces. I think I did my longest lever ever and it felt great. Pullups suck at this bw! Struggle around no. 11 now with as wide a grip as my shoulders allow.
Then trained my Mum tonight and I did the following complexes.
Defranco 3@50kg (previous PB 38kg)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yrFbl...2&feature=plcp
PTC 2 complex @50kg (previous PB 38kg)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ECb7h...1&feature=plcp
Randy Couture complex 37.5kg (previous PB 33kg)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JWgWf...1&feature=plcp
As much as these are cardio (randy was the hardest for huffing and puffing) but they're bloody awesome for grip strength as well IMO.
Feeling like a freaking balloon today. I am getting sick of this bulking thing but just a few more weeks to go.
Tomorrow is scheduled for 155kg x3(x10). I think I will be using the cals up big time tomorrow. Putting in WORK!

And some random stuff between sets like pullups and stuff. Also hit the heavy bag after. REALLY had some frustration to release today. Got the paint cracking on the roof above the bag
So turns out it takes me 40mins to actually get to my first working set. This includes foam rolling, de franco's agile 8, resistance band work for shoulders & elbow & then lighter warm up sets. Was just seeing how long it took after Sticky started that thread the other day. Whole workout was 90mins without really doing any upper body stuff.

It's a bit of fun at the start but can get tough. Got to do what you got to do though
Haha thanks dude. It's weird though as if I were to go just by caliper readings (chest, abs & thigh) the only one that has changed is the abs one over the last few months. It's just that my abs stick out a fair bit so I won't ever have a flat stomach. Meh, that's what you get for doing front levers everyday I guess
Thanks buddy. Maybe not look like a balloon yet but somedays definitely feel like it. Just that mega bloated feeling though I guess.
Monday morning: good start. Battery on my scooter is flat. Jumped on the bicycle, flat tyres. FAIL. Walked my bike to work as there is a servo across the road. Oh well, at least it's a nice daySQ 205kg DL 240kg BP 105kg SOHP 70kg at 80kg BW

Workout was tough! Every set of squats was seriously intense. Apparently equivalent to 175kg 1rm each set. Made it through though and somehow got some extra energy to pump out a few extra on the last set again
Then some shrugs for fun & some hip thrusts. KILLER on the hip flexors still.
Tried the UDL challenge that Sticky posted. No way near getting to 51! I was getting a bit puffed but muscles were still good but I could feel some crazy lower back pump and didn't want to risk it.

Thanks mate. I'm really valuing my rest days at the moment!
TBH I don't normally do any shrugs and the only reason I did it is because there was 100kg barbell just sitting there waiting for me. I like to do stuff to increase grip strength and that is one of the exercises that seems to work. I've never used a machine before so can't compare but all I know is the last few reps were pretty damn hard. No rack, just pick it up and shrugSQ 205kg DL 240kg BP 105kg SOHP 70kg at 80kg BW

I have no idea why but I only got DOMS after my first workout. They're all conditioned to it now
I have had really tight hip flexors though so been doing additional mobility work for that.

Rest Day
Pushy to work is great! I don't live far but it's nice to wake up the muscles a little in the morning. There is a bit of a hill too. Much harder on the way home though.
Went for a little walk at lunch time and then took the poodles for a walk for about an hour after work. Did my best human flag attempt BY FAR! I'm still at the stage where my legs are bent at the hip so closer to the pole (making it easier) but I held it in that position for about 15 seconds and was then able to slowly start lowering my legs a bit. Then collapsed haha. Serious full body exercise.
Also woke up again in the middle of the night starving (even after eating about 1300cals just before bed at midnight) so had to down a cup of cottage cheese & maple syrup. I tell you this smolov stuff does some seriously weird stuff to you're appetite!
