If running is hard on you just do cardio on an elliptical, or stationary bike, or whatever. My favorite is the Cybex Arc Trainer which is like an elliptical but has the highest calorie burn to perceived effort of any cardio machine. It's load bearing but nonballistic so it's good for people with bad joints. You can easily burn over 1,000 calories an hour on it. My brother went from 310 lbs to under 200 using the Arc Trainer exclusively, and now he runs marathons with me.

I've been doing the stair master more at the gym or a walking pace on the treadmill at a high incline. I've never been a big runner anyways but HIIT on the treadmill has me out of gas pretty quick on keto. I don't recover from it as fast either.

I was looking for you the other day to ask about some models. Think I decided on a Specialized Hardrock, nothing fancy but it wont break the bank to try it out.
Crossfit has an annoying cult following and some really dumb fuks as instructors. Disregard those and do the lifts safely and I don't see it as that bad of a workout. I just don't do it because my gym just really isn't big enough for it. There have been a few out there that try it and usually get ran off after they try and lay claim to half the equipment.MFC

Thoughts on the Sandra Bland deal?
Cliffs/
-girl gets pulled over for not signaling a lane change
-officer writes warning
-officer sees that she's irritated, asks why
-she says she doesn't feel like she should be getting a ticket for getting out of his way
-he asks her to put out her cig, she says she doesn't have to (she's still in her car)
-he orders her out of her car, she says no, he tries to forcibly remove her, pulls taser, she gets out
-she's mouthy, he's apparently fairly rough w/ her
-she allegedly hangs herself in her jail cell three days laterMFC
drum, it holds fifty, uh

She didn't hang herself. She died by asphyxiation from a plastic bag on her head. Cop was a scumbag and unnecessarily escalated a non-situation. She also should have just shut her mouth and he would have let her go. The video they released was oddly and poorly edited in many spots. Who knows what's going on.

she had depression/PTSD odds are she took her own life after going crazy from sitting in the cell for 2 days
if you're angry at someone you would kill them immediately not 3 days later
thats why we have a cool down period for all handguns in NJStrong and Brave to the grave

A place about 45 minutes from me has the hard rock disc listed for $480 but I figure they just put the msrp on there. I wanted something around the $400-500 range cause I'll be buying something for my wife to ride with me so I didn't want to be out a fortune on a few bikes. I'll be doing a lot of pavement riding too so I'll try out the stock tires but may end up buying a pair of wheels with smaller tires to switch out.

Lol I was just joking. I throw out the Crossfit thing sometimes because I'm a Crossfit instructor and like to rustle jimmies.
For real though, Crossfit is tits if you want to be prepared for anything that gets thrown at you or have a job that requires practical fitness, but I don't hate on traditional weightlifting because I do that as well as long runs. I've seen alternate statements, some say hanging by plastic bag, some say plastic bag over head. The official press release just says self-inflicted asphyxiation.

Edit: Here's what the autopsy says:
An autopsy classifies her death as suicide by hanging. County officials say she was found in a “semi-standing position,” hanged with a plastic trash-can liner affixed to a U-shaped metal hook on a partition in her cell.

I'm not sure how the original cop is to blame for her death. Yeah he escalated the situation, but she wasn't exactly compliant. I can see why he would want her out of the car with the way she was acting.
I feel like something shady went down at the jail, I don't think the video was edited.MFC

The other one I have, bcm had a sale and it was a good deal. Is a 14.5 mid length c4 rail. We use a similar grip, I just go a few inches closer to the mag well
[QUOTE=Bananahammock;1379201423]That's pretty aesthetic. The reason I'm quad railing is because I want to train with a similar gun to what I'll be deploying with in my new job. Thus the questions about Glock 17's and aimpoints.[/QUOTE
Quad rails are good too, if they help you get the job done, go for it. G17 is tits, aimpoint is tits. You got the t1 or pro?

even the name is fukkin stupid. It's the biggest pyramid scheme ever.
Yeah, everything in crossfit can be beneficial and safe, but the idea of putting everything against the clock without any actual proficiency in the lifts and any benefit goes out the window. Case in point, see below.

Tell me about how no one murders anyone in NJ with handguns?

Why was she still in jail 3 days later anyway? Don't see why he wanted her to get out of the car either.
