I've been kinda all over the place with workouts the last 6 months trying some HIIT, machine circuits, body-weight stuff. Work travel has been messing up my routine and Ive been using work to get lazy, I have to shake things up.
Changed gyms to a larger one a block from my work. Hadn't squatted in a while, did some light warm up sets yesterday (bar only then 135 3x8) and my quads are fckuing screaming this morning.
Does anyone have a full-body routine they like? I'm thinking of just finding a simple hour routine for when i'm in town, then just body weight stuff and elliptical in hotels. Build on some consistency.------♥♥-----

531 has some good full body templates that are heavy and meant for a couple times a week.
OHP 531
deads 531
squat light
accessories
bench/incline 531
rows/lat pulldown
squat heavy 531
accessories
and build accessories around there. You could build a ton of strength on something that simple IMHO.Stern Crew

I'm done with strength. Give me volume. Lots and lots of volume with drop sets galore.
Went shooting Sunday and bought a cell phone mount for my spotting scope. This was at 550 yards through the spotting scope. Pretty cool. You can see the vapor trail of the bullet

You don't have to be great to start, but you have to start to be great.

I'm also jumping on the volume train.

I generally get a warm up on super lightweight in, then do a solid BB type lift to start and work volume from there (do chest, legs, back, shoulders, repeat). i tend to work up to a 1-2 rep max on the BB lift, then do loads of volume on everything else.
For example, yesterday i did front/lateral/rear delt raises with 10 pounds. All 3 right after each other, 10 reps, 3 sets of it. Then basically no weight chest flies for 3 sets of 10. Then a cable row for the same. Then jumped on the incline bench and worked up to 205 which is my 1-2 rep max right now. After that, grabbed DBs and just did 10 rep sets from 35# up to 60 depending on what weight was available. I think i did 5-6 sets. Then went to about 4-5 sets on the cable push downs for Tri's 10-15 reps until i couldn't do that many. Then maxed out on flat DBs with 35 lbs, close grip (palms of hands facing each other). Did about 4 sets of max (10-20 reps) on that.

Im looking for maximum effect for the hour I give myself, 2vk your routine seems like I need an hour for 25 sets on upper inner chest day.
What I was doing was 15 min warmup on the elliptical. Squats, Bench, Cable Row, OHP. Deads instead of squats every second time, and then accessories (tricep extensions, arm or leg curls, or calf raises) for what time I have left. 3x5 on squats/Deads, 3x10 on accessories, and somewhere in between for everything else. Not super organized.
Im going to check out 531, I just need some structure to what I do.------♥♥-----

I don't follow a program. But I squat, OHP twice a week, do body weight twice a week, and deadlift once a week. I'll do a kettlebell workout on Saturdays to burn off Friday's beer and thinking of working in KBs more often. Feel like I hit my natty limit with strength, anyway.

It took me a while to get on board with a more fitted pants but now I'm officially part of the tapered sweat pants crew too now. Does that make me a millennial?

I can't do pants that are tight around my junk or ankles. I will forever be outta style in my boot cut pants until they come back in style in 10 years or so.
I had the intestinal flu last week but the good news is that I am back to my preholiday weight from not eating for 72 hours and peeing out of butt 7 times a day6'2"

I used to be the same when it came to sweatpants. If you ever get on board going back is impossible. My wife used to make fun of me for wearing nothing but jeans now she begs me to wear jeans in the winter because I wear sweatpants so much. Luckily we only have about 2 months of winter down here so I don't look like a British chav for long

I've been wearing pants made out of gym short material around the house lately. Basically they're sweats with a different material. Best of both worlds IMO.

Gym session yesterday. Back/bis with staples lol. limited range of motion and I definitely got a message at a certain weight. Curls were half way up, because I can't bend more than that. Today is chest. So, a bunch of cable/pec deck flys.
Gotta find a way to keep moving.
