Grabbed a box of Cotton Candy Captain Crunch. Interesting. This might be delicious.
Edit: Smell is on point, heavy cotton candy scent. Taste wise, it's good but really just tastes very sugary (no sht, that's cotton candy) but not what I'd really nail as cotton candy. Decent but unless you love sugar overload I'd skip it.
Waiting now for a tub of Magnum's preworkout from a promo, sounds promising both in profile and flavor; went with the Strawberry Marshmallow Candy or Blue Shark Candy if that's not available.Last edited by gbullock32; 06-03-2019 at 08:42 PM.

I picked up a few proteins during the Memorial day sale:
VMI Sports Protolyte Whey Isolate
Nutritional Info (all flavors):
Spoiler!
Fudge Cookie - Overall a solid chocolate flavor, although not as fudge-y or nearly as dark a chocolate as I had hoped.
Peanut Butter Vanilla - Wow. Just... wow, is this a good protein. The only other vanilla + peanut butter protein that I've seen and know of is Myofeed, and VMI blows that one out of the competition, no question. The vanilla is solid, not overpowering the peanut flavor attributed by real peanut flour to truly round out the flavor.
Peanut Butter Chocolate - I've tried many a chocolate peanut butter powders in my time, and none of them have managed to leave me impressed because they always come across as chocolate with maybe a hint of peanut thrown in there...until this one. The best I can describe this variant of the flavor is a true mixture of chocolate and peanut butter in equal harmony, like if you had Reese's Peanut Butter puffs as a ratio. Again, real peanut flour is the key here to lifting the peanut butter flavor above the chocolate, which can typically overpower the former.
Cookies and Cream - Again, I have tried numerous Cookies and Cream flavors. Thus far, my favorite has been Evlution Nutrition's, followed very closely by Quest. I think that VMI has finally taken the throne for my C&C taste buds, as this one perfectly balances the creaminess that is not, I repeat not "just vanilla," but a rich, sweet cream that counters the dryer, crisp, chocolate cookie notes. Opening this tub is like a rush of childhood.
Peanut Butter Cookies and Cream - What is this? What is this madness? Literally the only other PB C&C that I've ever seen was the MTS variant, which was also a calorie bomb, sadly sacrificing a solid nutritional profile. While I have not personally tried that one (because a 5lb tub), the VMI PB C&C is only 110 calories, and if my above praise for their peanut butter and cookies and cream flavors is any indication, they nailed the proverbial, "you got oreo in my peanut butter." The PB side is not like the PB vanilla, being far more rich to complement the cookie side.
I also picked up MAN Sports Iso-Protein in two flavors:
Pancakes and Syrup - This reminds me of their Sprinkled Donut flavor in that it is very subtle, but you pick up all of the appropriate notes of airy pancake, light butter, and a hint of syrup.
Peanut Butter Bits - I had already had their Clean Protein in this flavor long ago, and it tastes better this time around? In any case, I like to think of MAN's PB Bits as more of the Reese's of the PBC world. In other words, it has that right level of "artificial" that defines anything Reese's (fun fact: Reese's Pieces contain no actual peanut, just "penuche," which is basically brown sugar, butter, and milk), although MAN's protein falls more along the usual PB cups flavor.
*Bonus* I also received a sample of Xtend Protein's Cookie Butter flavor. I wanted to try this based on the flavor alone, but after watching the Priceplow video and then reading reviews, I was a bit confused because it sounded like a peanut butter cookie flavor. Low and behold, there is peanut flour in the ingredients, but my guess is that it was added to give a bit of "earthiness" to the base, and while it is there, there is an overall lightness that lends to a cookie butter flavor. If you are expecting something with more spice like a speculoos cookie, you would have to throw in your own because there is only a light cinnamonish note.I will stand firm, I refuse to kneel - The fury in me is divine

I'll be the true judge of the new PES flavor. Rob probably microwaved it or something. Kidding...
Okay I'm starting to contemplate getting rid of my huge stash or stored pres. Have a bunch of DMAA stuff like Mesomorph Dust Extreme or whatever and some others. Also have a God of War Red and stuff. I don't know, just thinking it's really time to get off caffeine. No I won't just throw or give away but it's either sell or use as I don't waste.

Sorry Kbayne, but not a fan of the new Cake Pop flavor. I love Gourmet Vanilla and I figured from descriptions, it might just be a sweet variation of that. Unfortunately I don't get any flavoring of a cake pop or cake batter kind of flavor. It just tasted like a light vanilla lacking that is sweet and lacking flavor depth. Gourmet Vanilla has a lot of flavor depth and legit tastes like a fancy vanilla ice cream(I made ice cream with it and it tastes like authentic vanilla custard). Cake Pop was light on flavoring and quite a thin mixing powder.
For the price, I of course won't complain. But that's my straight forward feedback.Progressive overload + progressive eating = gains. Simple as that!

lol! Bland but sweet middle of the road vanilla
The best birthday cake flavored proteins aren't even around anymore.
Best of all time was AI Sport Whey - no longer around.
Animal Franks Bday Cake - I believe unavailable since Frank is no longer with Animal. I could be wrong.
Dymatize Iso-100 - another overly sweet vanilla
Trutein Bday Cake - tastes okay but lacked flavor depth and sweetness
Mutant Whey/Iso - meh, again, lack flavor depth. Another sweet vanilla
Cellucor Cor-Whey - discontinued. Was good to bake with but had a chemical taste with shakes
Never tried the BB.com Whey, so I cannot give an opinion on that one.Progressive overload + progressive eating = gains. Simple as that!

Strawberry Jellybean Warped & E
MAN Iso-Protein Lemon Cake <3
Pretty good has that lemon zest flavor to it very rich an almost lemon curd like in flavor
Going to prob mix this and the Select Cake Pop later Lemon Cake Pops def gonna happen o.o
Ya its def not that sweet I don't think, would been a bit better sweeter and more frosting like or bolder anyways on that aspect its still pretty good.
I liked MAN's Iso-Protein Birthday Cake a lot too along with that AI Sports Birthday Cake both pretty great to me-- Microwaves everyday crew --

Totally agree that AI Sports had the best birthday cake flavor and they had some other good flavors
also such as Cinnamon Roll, Mocha, and Vanilla Ice Cream was also on point hell I know you wasn't
a big fan of their choc but for me it was also done well. It's a shame that it took that co so long to
come out with a whey protein and when they did their flavoring was VERY GOOD but now the co is
no where to be found.

These last two pages are why the Taliban hate us: discussing the flavor notes of proteins, pinkies out.

They are still around but they seriously cut back on there supplements. Protein is no longer produced. I was legit bummed when they discontinued the whey because the flavoring of the Cinnamon Roll and Birthday Cake was so spot on. They won one of the protein wars on here and hyped it up a little on social media and then dropped off the face of the earth.

Yeah I remember ranking AI Sports cinnamon pretty highly in the protein wars.
https://forum.bodybuilding.com/showt...post1473104111
"AI Sports Nutrition Cinnamon Roll (11/2/16)g
4oz Fairlife skim milk + 4oz Fairlife 2% milk
Flavor: 9.5/10, I love cinnamon roll proteins and this one is very good. Not a lot of icing taste but the cinnamon and the roll seem represtented.
Mixability: 9.5/10, very little bubbles/foam, just a few specs of powder kinda stuck to the bottom of the lid
Texture: 9.5/10, smooth maybe just a tad on the thinner side for what I prefer
Water
Mixability: 9.5/10, very little bubbles/foam, just a few specs of powder left behind, overall just in milk
Flavor: 9/10. It’s pretty good for being in water, pretty similar to milk
Texture: 9/10. Not too thin considering it’s in water, smooth
Notes: I could definitely mix this in water regularly."
I'm an easy grader except for that last part in bold. There aren't many protein powders I'd be willing to regularly mix in water, that says a lot
