What's wrong with u? Even if u did think it was ****ty (which I'm sure u don't)why would you personally attack someone about something that's obviously important to them on that kind of level?
I think it was an awesome gesture. Literally brings tears to my eyes and makes me think about my own grandpa. Don't be a kunt.

Yeah, that was a pretty crappy thing to say about the shadow box.
Maybe MFC isn't the best place for Dirt.

Michaels has done all the framing for our prints and did a great job, and they did a good job framing a Jersey a decade ago. I think that you might've run into someone who had no idea what they were doing. The Shadow Boxes on display at the craft stores in this area are awesome. Norfolk is also the biggest Navy base in the world, so that's a factor.
EDIT: Also, I think that your finished product turned out great. It blows that you had to provide the professionalism/expertise when you were paying them to provide that. It's an amazing gift for your dad.

I was in the service, I appreciate something like that more than you could understand. Truthfully I wasnt going to mention it till he started popping off.
If it were me I would have made the thing myself as it was something important. I wouldnt have went to hobby lobby and then bished about how shtty it looked as I posted it over and over.

The chitty thing is if you don't eliminate the threat, you may be eliminated. If you fire too many times, you may be charged. There's a fine line you have to walk under stress in these situations and either side results in two extremes. And the worst part of it is, you'll never know exactly how you will react until it happens.
Thanks babe. He tried not showing emotion in front of me but I think he must have been cutting some onions
When guys were leaving my unit (mostly the leadership/good guys) most of the time the platoon would pitch in and we would have a shadow box made for them. One of my best friends left before I did and another buddy and I decided we were going to go cheap and try to do it ourselves. There was a place right off post that specialized in doing them but they charged quite a bit. We took a crack at it one weekend and it was pretty bad lol. Maybe we both just suck at things like that. After all, it would take me a few hours to do my Class As. We also knew what the shop's work would look like and in comparison our job was chit. We eventually caved and took it to them and they did an outstanding job. The shadow box they made for me was done at the shop too. I expected the same attention to detail from Michaels but as you said, the people there probably are inexperienced.
Everything about it is very professional, especially the framing and backing. The placement of some items is really the only thing they failed on. And thanks Ike
That's cool man, you are entitled to your opinion. However, ever since you started posting ITT recently, all you have done is troll and talk chit, popping up every now and then. You've also negged a few regulars in the past week. You flew under the radar initially since you aren't another fresh join date red but your colors have been shown for a while now.Misc Firearms Crew

Given how you're acting like a complete jackass in this topic, I don't think emulating your behavior is worth it. I'm sorry that you received one of my random reps this AM. Tip of the fedora to you, m'lady, have a nice life. Thank you for your "service," whatever capacity it may have been in.

Has anyone in here actually heard of any case where someone was charged with murder or something similar due to the number of times they shot the person? As in a reasonable number let's say less than 8 times or something? It's one thing if it's to the point you're doing a mag change to put more rounds into them, or walking up to shoot them after they're already out of action, but I'm not sure I believe there would be some magic number to where they'd all of a sudden think you're guilty of something if you shot someone 6 times instead of 5. This is obviously all assuming it's a good shoot in the first place and not in one of the commie states with tard laws.

Thanks dudes
GST, your post is a bit confusing. Your grandpa fought for Italy during WW2 or fought in Italy? I'm assuming he fought in Italy. The military had a massive fire in their main service record storage warehouse back in the 50s I believe and lost a massive amount of records. His records could have been an unfortunate victim of the fire.
Do you know what unit he was with or anything? It took me a long time but I was able to track a lot of my grandpa's service history. I even found his name on a list of WIAs in his unit for his first Purple Heart.
There's no reasonable number for how many times you should shoot someone. One may be enough. Twenty may not be enough. You shoot until they are no longer a thread.
If it's a justified shoot, the number of times will not matter. They may try and bring that up, but there are countless police shootings that support the number of shots not mattering.Misc Firearms Crew

What I find weird in this situation is that the cops didn't arrest the pharmacist, but they forwarded the case to the prosecutor for final decision on whether to prosecute. There was absolutely no fukkin crime committed here at all. The pharmacist acted in clear self defense and defense of others. Nothing says the cops have to forward this case to prosecutors, they could have just let it go. If the prosecutor is an anti-gun, anti-self defense prick like so many are he can now drum up a case; especially now that the case has some publicity and he can get his name out there; which happens time and time again. There is absolutely no reason for the cops to forward this case to prosecutors. It's fishy as hell.

I agree. As long as they're still a threat, you shoot. I just think that whole thing is kind of one of those gun store myths and not something to legitimately think about in any type of real self defense shoot, again assuming you're not walking up to do an execution shot or anything while they're no longer a threat.
