very happy with the mock meet i put on for myself
squat
45x10
135x3
225x2
315x2
365x1
405x1
455 opener, smoked it
475 1st, barely harder
500 barely grinded above parallel on the way back up.. maybe could have got 510 or 515, but either way, super happy
bench
45x10
135x5
185x5
225x2
245x1 opener, smoked
275x1 1st, smoked
285x1 yeah my bench blows.. but this was paused and i'm positive i couldn't do this a month ago
deadlift
135x8
225x5
315x1
405x1
455x1 opener (probably opened a hair too low, but oh well)
500x1 1st, felt great.. did a weird thing on my lockout.. idk what that was
550x1 2nd, wasn't going to go for it, but friend convinced me, and i'm glad he did b/c i got it. did the weird thing on my lockout again... have to fix it
i'm stoked guys, i surpassed every goal... video to come, and you guys can tear it apart. i know i still have a lot to learn

I brought that up like 10-15 pages back.
Pretty much all his vids are high, except for a couple that I've seen.
To me it's not his rep training that bugs me. I get annoyed by his rants on ******** about always hitting depth and how you must always hit depth in training and then he squats high.
I think she's dating AJ now and lives out here with him. She's at most USPA meets and helps out with things. I would definitely have a look at those pics. She has a gnarly scar on her left tricep and I'm assuming its from her broken arm.
His comp vids look like Eric lilliebridge's comp vids.Total's = Jan. 2012 - 1036 @ 198's

warning this may come off as nutswinging and don't give a damn...
People troll most of that stuff. The Dimel comment was trolled a long time ago but has always been shot down and shut up. Just about everything else though has been pretty open and not hidden besides the Gracie V. comment which I'm sure that will get around too. What these guys have or have not done outside of training or on the platform is none of my business and don't care really. Louie has never hidden the supplemental usage and has always given credit to every person/book/author/etc. that he has gotten his train methods from. He has on numerous occasions made comments about how nothing they do there originated from there. With all their negatives every single person at Westside I've ever asked a question to including Louie has always been more then helpful in answering me and giving me considerable amounts of their time knowing perfectly well I lift unequipped, a beginner, and a nobody. My Training Journal: http://tinyurl.com/jasons-journal

the squat looked better than the deadlift to me... deadlift needs some stability work. idk if i just wasn't tight, or wasn't used to a weight that big or what... but it'll get better with time.Last edited by baxtej44; 03-26-2013 at 10:33 PM.

Hey dudes - Squatting high in training is cool. Don't hate.
Anyways I was browsing Reddit and stumbled upon a really funny thread - http://www.reddit.com/r/Fitness/comm...t792?context=3
Cliffs:
- Mkal claims to be fitter than Arnold because of his Fitocracy level.
- Arnold calls him out.
- The internet loses it's shiit."Nutrition for powerlifting: If you are serious about it, you will eat f*cking everything and get strong as $hit." - HamburgerTrain

Gracie and AJ are engaged now, and yeah they live in cali. She gets less and less hot, more and more man looking as time goes on. And yes, the giant scar is from her arm, I heard it was fukking awful in person, I know the person that was filming it.
As to all the sketchiness, I know it's what happens on the platform that counts in this sport, but you can't help but get an idea of the type of people that are there by these stories.

After looking again on a bigger screen, I still think they are damn close. Couple things to note:
1) Camera angles never tell the entire truth. I could have sworn Black_Spit was squatting high in training when filmed from the back, but in competition, buried them squats.
2) Big legs and a large belly make things hard to see.
3) Baggy clothes make things hard to see.
4) Depth in training may have a couple forms. I think we have all seen the high box squats and squats that are cut intentionally high (Hunter Poole).
5) As for the USAPL zealot comment....that seems to hold true around here. No squat, bench or deadlift is good unless done in USAPL. Mike T is a god and his training is perfect, everybody else has no clue what they are doing and squats high/benches TNG/has soft knees on deads.Strongman Training Log: http://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=138026593
