There were a lot of people that thought that wedge would resolve to the upside. If it was whales, I'm surprised they didn't sucker everyone in with a false breakout and then yank the rug out from the rally. I'll be looking to see the next time gold catches the bid if BTC also rallies. IMO its going to need a catalyst where people freak out about their fiat. If the equity markets catch a bid and go for a new bull leg, BTC might sell-off hard.

Holy ****. Bitmex longs:shorts ratio went from 60:40 to 40:60 lol.

I think it was at like 400 million longs before that dump.

That long\short ratio for bitmex is a complete lie. It's always 50\50, by definition, because it's a futures market.

But what do you think about the bitfinex long vs short ratio though. I remember in 2018 it lead to significant moves in case of a massive difference, but now in 2019 i feel that correlation is no longer there.

There is still a CME gap at 11.8k.

The daily 200 SMA comes right at ~8k so maybe some relief. The CME 200 SMA comes at 6.9k area..

I don't like it because there is zero documentation on to how it's calculated. I dunno if he's just using funding rates or what. And anyways, it still is fundamentally wrong to call it a long\short ratio.

The numbers for bitfinex are (mostly) accurate though.

Finex is pretty easy to determine i guess as it shows number of coins long vs short..

But definitely you can see the influence of the entities moving the market on finex. 26th june - Lots of longs were taken off right at market peak - Shorts were also squeezed out around the same date.

8k is the last hope for bulls. Slightly modified bollinger bands which are more accurate than the default 20 setting on the weekly.

Indeed. All I know is that there are plenty of people making silly monies trading cryptos. Whenever I make a random, somewhat educated but not technically savvy, move in crypto that nets me a few $k I can't help but think of the mfers making a killing in this market.

Yes liquidity sucks. Yes there's so much uncertainty surrounding it. But damn man the volatility is amazing. Like just imagine if you had were wealthy to begin with when you started in cryptos. If you were able to throw a large sum of money into it, and provided you were knowledgeable about the space and money/investing, windfall city.
