*SOME SPOILERS AHEAD*

Am I the only one that kind of started to dislike Walter near the end? How he was treating Jesse, how he killed Mike and so on. I dunno, I just kind of don't feel the same about him. I know we wouldn't have had a TV show if they did, but I wanted them to just take the $5m each and live happily ever after. I really feel sorry for Jesse. I just know something is going to happen to him after all this. That scene with him having dinner with Walt and Skyler was hilarious.

It's pretty stupid how we have to wait 10 months in between each 'half' of the season.

i know bro. I wished i stopped watching at the end of season 4. Kill guz, go back to being a family man. Season 5, walt is mean and nasty. I don't like seeing him like that.

By the way I have a feeling the eye from the stuffed animal will make a comeback in the final episode, staring at him....reminding him....

i started rewatching BB with a friend and the stuffed animal foreshadows something huge. i dont know how much youve seen so i wont spoil it

Actually Homeland is a pretty phucking awesome show. I will admit though that season two was somewhat lacking and unworthy of any Emmy nominations.

Breaking Bad is going to clean up the Emmy's, you heard it here first. The Golden Globes is a poverty award show. Emmy's and Oscars are the only ones that matter. Cranston is going to steal a statue and the show is going to sweep up.

Homeland is way better than Breaking Bad. To be perfectly honest, while BB is good, there are a lot of shows better than it, which is more of a entry level drama.

I watch quite a bit myself too, what makes you say BB is really as good as you say? It's a fun show, but it's got some of the worst writing at times. Homeland, Game of Thrones, Boardwalk Empire, Mad Men all trump BB in my mind... even Dexter. Bryan Cranston is the main reason BB is any good, imo. But... I'm going to leave it at that, since this is a BB thread after all.

not a chance bro... I'm a HUGE game of thrones fan and I think it rivals breaking bad but in no way does it trump it. the wire also rivals breaking bad but I like BB more. IMO sherlock is the only modern show that is better than breaking bad

To each his own I guess, I just felt a lot of BB's plot development is triggered from Jesse doing some really stupid sht and then Walter has to clean up after him. Things like that just make me feel the writing is just very unintelligent, and Jesse's screw ups just make me cringe. I still enjoy watching it though.

Homeland winning for season 2 is just silly, especially over the monstrous Season 3 of Boardwalk Empire.
Besides that Golden Globes always snub people, Cranston for lead actor, Mad Men, BE, Joaquin Phoenix, etc, somehow Brave won lol wtf.

Wow, you are nuts. I've watched Dexter and Mad Men and Breaking Bad is a whole tier higher than either of those shows.

Homeland is a great show. Season 1 was epic as fuarkkk....but thats the main problem with it. Those who have watched can agree with how close it went to kinda the pinnacle of what the storyline entails. Kept me on the edge of my seat. Season 2 needed to top that and (as expected) it didnt. Still though, great show. If any show was worthy of beating BB, its homeland.

Walt will survive. He'll lose everything and everyone, but he'll get away with not much more than a scratch.

This. Dexter hasn't been good since seasons 1 and 2. Mad Men had a great opening season and then fell off slowly afterwards.

Meanwhile, Breaking Bad has gotten consistently better over the seasons. The only subplots I would exclude were in seasons 2 and 3; what-with Jesse's relationship with his neighbor and the subsequent "rehabilitation" arc. Other than that, the show has been exceptional in delivering unpredictable twists/turns, unparalleled character development, and unique direction.

The show throws in ample symbolism and foreshadowing almost every episode. This show is great because it understands that its viewers are not hurrdurr idiots who need everything to be spoonfed to them. It challenges viewers, in some respects.

Also, there's very few points in the five seasons where scenes are unnecessary. I can name a billion with Dexter/MM/Game of Thrones (S2. S1 was brilliant).

Also, can you name a single actor who has done a better job in five seasons than Bryan Cranston?

Epic first season, let down on season finale.
