I'm not sure why you're struggling against Freeze Mage, it's a pretty good matchup for Druid IMO because of the burst potential and Keepers being a great counter to Doomsayer­. You just have to be weary of not over extending too much. Also Loatheb locks them down completely (they can still play Frost Nova for 8, but try to pressure one out early). Use him before comboing for lethal (or popping an Ice Block).

Tempo Mage on the other hand is a nightmare.

I'm not running Loath in my list.

I run an ancient of war and something else i can't think of over harrison and loathab. ill make those switches

Made legend last season with the aggro druid deck I posted. Working towards Legend again with anyfin can happen Paladin. Super fun and crushes some matchups with ease. Priest and handlock basically can't win. Mirror matches are goofy as hell but i usually win since they cast it first then I cast it second for GG.

To those who are f2p, I just started a friend playing the game, and yeah, you face OP decks pretty quick. The lowest few ranks usually have horrible decks, then you quickly transition into facing pretty complete decks. I bought him blackrock and league of adventures though, and he can actually compete against some good decks with just those cards+the few rares/commons he's crafted.

I recommend buying Nax 1st for overall OP cards, then league for value, and then blackrock. Though if you get blackrock first you can actually build a pretty powerful dragon paladin with just that- I built one on his account and it went undefeated till rank 15, where it is still pretty on par.

The adventures are a good starting point, then craft commons/rares. They will get you a lot more bang for your buck than working towards epics/legendaries. Piloted shredder, heal bots etc. are all great early things to craft depending on what you're building.

I think its worth the real life money to skip the headache phase and get at least one if not two adventures- the third you can pick off about a wing or two per week depending how much you play.

Hearthstone is a ton of fun, too bad it's literally pay to win. Can't be bothered spending hundreds of $ (or years of grinding) just to construct a decent competitive deck.

You can legit spend 40-50 bucks on two adventures and have a deck that can get to the higher ranks in a week. The only problem is that its hard to achieve a variety of decks, but I just got my friend two adventures and he can build a few sick decks, and beat people with FAR more money sunk into the game. At least with season chests and weekly free packs its pretty easy to build a base.

Also lawl at the shrinkmeister tavern brawl, made a pretty much unbeatable monstrosity though it requires many legendaries.

ayy downloaded this game on Iphone, I'm only at the training part right now, but so far it feels very scripted. Like I cannot lose and each turn/hand is already predetermined. I'm sure it's because it's training but I'm having trouble seeing the strategy here. I assume the game is much deeper. Any videos that show what the gameplay is like in the later stages?

I think this last month has been just about the best the game has ever had. Tons of deck variants.
But yea it always gets old eventually. Their expansion always shake things up a lot though. Just give it a month

mirin man. I just started playing hearthstone and been playing a zoolock without boom or malganis. It's really frustrating.

Been stuck at rank 14 because cancer face hunters and control priests.

I'm thinking I might just give up on ladder until I have mor cards and just play arena.

I always seem to have a hard time with face and even control hunters for some reason with a zoo deck. If I get good draws and have bran and argus things go much differently.

I was also struggling and stuck in the 14 rank range since I don't like to spend money on the game. I gave in and bought 40 GnG packs and got a boom from that. I was also able to get enough dust/catds to build a fun tempo deck as well.

With that being said I have been able to shoot up to rank 11 pretty easily with the new decks. Still hate that I spent money though

yah lol that's how they get you with the freemium games. But at least the game is fun so there is a justification for spending some money on it.

Any recommended places to play in some on-line tournaments?

I am a F2P player, I've mustered up enough to get through all the adventures and make 3 (maybe 4) tournament viable decks and have made legend. It is hard to find the motivation to climb past rank 5 at all anymore and figured some on-line tournaments may be fun. Nothing serious, I don't care about prizes or points to qualify for anything - just well run is my main concern.

Its straight dude. I've played tons of card games. MTG handles this the same way, by cycling cards out, and having older formats with a more massive card pool.

Yugioh does what hearthstone currently does(No formats, but has a ban list, kind of like hearthstones nerfs that make cards unplayable.) and it is awful. The game is completely imbalanced and power creeped to a totally unrecognizable formats. It is also grossly corrupt in the sense they have gotten to the point of banning cards to make the new cards what you must play.

This was inevitable.

Yah but MTG you're paying for the F2F interaction (at least I do) hearthstone needs to just focus on balancing and then slowly releasing more cards. Their "limited" format (Arena) is also pretty bad.

I like hearthstone, but it will eventually end up snowballing into something that you have to spend $200 at least if you want to play somewhat competitively.

So lulz how much people bad mouth in video games, but when you play TCG's IRL nobody ever BM's unless they're your mate. smh.
