With the big amount of Horror fans here I wonder how many are familiar with Phantasm. Of all the major Horror series that one is by far my favorite and it's a shame it's never had the level of recognition as others, but it seems to be getting somewhat more popular lately. Love that series (well, maybe except the fifth one, what a disappointment). 2 is the best one IMO.

I love 1 & 2 and agree 2 is the best of the series. 3 and 4 are ok. I fell asleep for part 5 and wasn't interested in finishing it. None of it will ever make sense so I just love the spheres.
Tales of Halloween was decent. 6/10 I'd say. Haven't seen Most Likely to Die... Let us know..
Kodi + Firestick = WORTH IT.

I actually was able to find it online.
Interesting movie, they handled horror/comedy very well, if it's not you can end up with a really ****ty movie. I think the fact that the actors involved took the movie seriously on face level helped sell it. Great actors, tons of bigger names in smaller bit parts and the two leads had a lot of charisma and chemistry together. The black chick was great looking too.
However, I felt like the pacing was off, the third act was too long and the ending was ultimately very unsatisfying.
Overall probably worth it but I don't think it lived up to it's potential and it's always a bummer when a movie runs out of steam or leaves a sour taste in your mouth. All truth passes through three stages. First, it is ridiculed. Second, it is violently opposed. Third, it is accepted as being self-evident.

Watched 47 meters down this past weekend. Should it be classed as a horror? probably not. But if you like sharks and fancy something that you don't need to pay too much attention to, this films for you. Fairly fun watch and decent ending.
And the fifth rule and most important, work your but off.

I watched the new Hellraiser: "Hellraiser: Judgement" Overall, the production quality and acting was a lot better than quite a few previous installments. They decided to amp up the gore a bit too, one method they used was quite twisted. As far as the story line went, well I suspected the ending nearly instantly. Nothing special, the ending did have something different to the others with an addition of characters - in fact I am not 100% sure of the ending.
Spoiler!
That's what I gathered from it anyway, any other input towards the ending would be great. Either way, it wasn't the worst Hellraiser, it's definitely worth 1 watch.

The Ritual - 8.3/10 - I liked this movie a lot. Sometimes a movie just checks off everything you're looking for in a movie and this one did it for the most part. Good acting, great atmosphere and suspense, violent (but not overly so), and an interesting story. One problem...CGI. I probably would have given the movie a 9/10 if it weren't for the CGI. This would have been once instance where "less is more" with what you know and see, but it didn't hurt the movie too badly. Occult horror, "horror in the woods," and horror where the characters are in an isolated setting are some of my favorite subgenres so it was easy to like this one. Definite recommend when it hits Netflix this month.

Watched the Maniac Cop movies for the first time in many years and forgot how good they all are, especially the second which is easily the best one. Wasn't a remake supposed to be in development?
Maniac Cop 2 being better than the first reminded me of Horror sequels that are better than the originals. Horror sequels can be hit and miss but there's lots of good ones for sure. What are some that are arguably superior to the originals? Phantasm II, Maniac Cop 2, Aliens and Evil Dead II both leap to mind right away. And here's a controversy A-bomb, Predator 2. There, I said it. Love the original Predator, but I always enjoyed the second more.
