Loved Ef to bits. Its definitely enjoyable. This one scene in it is one of my favourite anime moments ever.

Read the VN.

If there's a VN it's 99% of the time recommended to read it first.

The only exception I've found is Steins;Gate - where the anime could be watched before playing the VN.

But the overarching plot and setting of Steins;Gate makes that work extremely well.

@Lolipop never read the Youtube comments for any ongoing show/series that has material or spoilers available from the later parts of the story.

Read Katawa Shoujo first - for VNs best bet is read early in the morning - That's how I got through Fate/Stay Night. The time will fly by so quickly and it'll be 12am before you know it. If you start at night you'll be less motivated - and afternoon sessions = good luck.

And tbh all the Miss *insert country here* contestants look so ugly esp. with no makeup - maybe it's a different type of beauty they go for.

but i enjoyed the anime for lots of reasons. one major one being its length. dont see many shows that are given ample time to develop characters
