Any Texas brahs on the coast or going down to help with the upcoming chit storm Harvey? I'm in east Texas so we will just get a few inches of rain thankfully.
The problems we face today are there because the people who work for a living are now out numbered by those who vote for a living.

haven't posted in here for a bit. As the new school year started, so did I in my new position. School Resource Officer, lawd what have I got myself into haha. Its actually been fun, even though its not high speed and is TOTALLY different than patrol. I'm currently in a ghetto-ish middle school and these kids are nuts, but in reality the worst thing I've been dealing with is the school admin and been bumping heads with them some. Stay safe brahs

"They'll tell you failure is not an option. That is ridiculous. Failure is always an option. Failure is the most readily available option at all times, but it's a choice. You can choose to fail or you can choose to succeed. But failure is always there, and it's okay to recognize that."- Chael P. Sonnen

Psych interview seemed pretty easy. Asked me mostly about my school and work history. Pressed me about how much I drank. Was told I was free to go after the interview.

Any of you guys do something like being an Armored Car Officer before getting into PD's? Pay is pretty bad but I've got a year left of school & will be finding a new job out of college while I wait for the whole application process.

I've a buddy who did it. **** job that's underpaid. No relevance towards law enforcement. You'd literally be better off being a bouncer or door man at a club in terms of 'experience' that will transfer to law enforcement. You'd probably make more money, working less hours, doing a less dangerous job as well.
When people rob armored cars they typically just gun down the guards grab the money and run. It doesn't get a lot of press, but that's bout how it goes when it happens.
