I did a small cut this summer, 2 months. Went from 195lbs to 183lbs. I stand at 5'4, and about to go back up to around 200lbs.
Best part of the summer that i suppose can be fitness/sports related was going to sporting goods store with a drunk buddy, sneaking back to use the drivers on a test screen.

favorite endeavor was planting a home garden. it took a lot of work, but in the end it will save money on vegetables you can grow at your own house. making my own peppers and tomatoes saved me quite a bit of money at the grocery store. Helps keep my family a bit healthier and provides different options on the dinner table. outside of taking care of the garden and getting into the gym my goal is to continue to be healthy, have fun, and try to stay dedicated. my biggest weakness is getting to the gym and staying there. breaking the cycle and missing workouts is what kills me!

Banana Coconut!? Pretty unique flavor!
Here's a pic of me shooting an AR-15 this summer. I've never shot any gun other than a hand gun before this, and I hated it because I was so young. My sister in law is dating a military guy so He had like 10 different guns and this one was pretty sick(Sorry for the dorky glasses)
And then this is in SoCal (my home town) this summer for my birthday weekend we all went to the beach with my husband. It was awesome! I love the beach so much. (That's me and my husband on the right)

In for this.
Over the years, I've noticed that a muscle group would grow really fast when I'd train it 2-3 times a week, and I always wondered what would happened if I trained every body part 3-4 times a week. However, I was conditioned to believe that you couldn't get any gains doing full body routines and that you HAD TO hit a muscle with multiple sets and multiple exercises in order to stimulate growth. So I never applied this approach to my entire body.
Anyways, back in June I came across an article about "how to build muscle like a beginner again."
http://www.bodybuilding.com/fun/ask-...-beginner.html
Everything I had ever suspected was validated in this article, and so I took the plunge and created a routine that had me training 6 days a week and stimulating each muscle group 4-6 times a week. Low volume, high frequency.
The 6-week results were insane. After 20+ years of lifting, I made the best gains I've probably ever made since I was a beginner, and I was growing so fast that even I could see the changes in the mirror each week.

My wife and I flew from Boston, MA to Vancouver, Canada to run a half-marathon earlier this summer. It was such a great experience because we both pushed each other in our training for the race and it was so incredible to have something to run alongside with. We both were there for one another to lean on and to hold the other accountable. Neither of us had ever run a half-marathon before, so it was quite the accomplishment for the both of us to finish.

i generally hate most types of cardio as a "fitness endeavor" and avoid them like the plague. one of the few types that i will do is swimming. we have a small pool in the backyard and i really enjoy turning some laps and getting my heart rate up.
not only is swimming great for cardiovascular endurance i also like it as a form of Active Recovery after hard training sessions. a few laps really helps to get the kinks out of the muscles and relieve (DOMS) soreness. plus, its a great place to spend some quality time with the family.
a dip in the cool water is also damn refreshing on a hot summer day...almost as refreshing as a SAN
shake would be. so please....count me IN!

This picture is when I competed in the summer of 2009 in Melbourne, FL at the NPC Space Coast Classic. I placed 3rd at that contest.
I went there with no expectation other than compete and place well and when I got there I found out that Evan Centopani was there doing a seminar in the local gym after Pre-Judging along with PJ Braun (Today owner of Blackstone Labs).
It was great, because I met both of them and saw Evan training back at the gym while PJ was doing the explanation and Q & A's.
There is no doubt that was my best bodybuilding experience I ever lived...

Coconut banana sounds amazing! I have never had a coconut protein before but been waiting a long time to try it! Well my summer was only August since i just came back from deployment 6 weeks ago. I didn't get to do a lot other than.
Lay in the beach and look at all the nice booty in bikinis... 9 months away with a whole bunch of guys and women that only walk around with a robe covering head to toe was not fun! So I went down to Wildwood, south of NJ and stayed for 10 days just soaking the sun at the pool and the beach.
Only got to go to 2 BBQs but the first one was the funnest one.. Friends surprised me when I got back.
I went to this place called Palisades Climb in NY. It's like a tree top rope course but its inside a mall and its huge!!
I went to mountain creek water park. Had a lot of fun but had to leave early cuz my foot(got injured on deployment) was killing me from walking up hill and walking up stairs to go on rides all day long. This is the tarzan.. you hold on to the rope and jump on the pool, i liked it cuz they said before grabbing the rope to not do a backflip and I did it any way =D.
Last week I went on a 5 mile hike... Was scared for my foot but to my luck I only started hurting right at the very end when I stepped on a rock and my foot slipped off.. Everyone of my friends were gone/done and I was limping away.

I participated in my first ever Spartan Race this summer. It was so much harder than I thought it was going to be but I had a group of buddies doing it along with me and we all managed to get through it together. The bond that we forged that day to help each other succeed is something that I can hardly put into words. I look at all of them as my brothers and together we succeeded!

This is a GREAT promo for one of my favorite brands when it comes to straight whey protein
and feast your eyes on what the Fed Ex man just delivered to me from this past Sundays order.
I snatched up 2 5lbers of the flavors that I haven't tried yet from the Titanium Whey line and I
also snatched up a 2lber of one of the flavors that I've tried and reviewed but honestly I will be
picking up ALL the past flavors I've tried at some point cause I've enjoyed them all so I'm looking
forward to trying these 2 new ones that have eluded me for some time and of course when I feel
I've gotten a good feel for the flavors YOU KNOW I WILL REVIEW THEM
One of the things I enjoyed most this summer was in the month of July when I take pretty much
all my vacation days from my day job during this month so I'm off practically the whole month.
I train at home in my home gym which is FULLY equipped with pretty much everything you need
to become a Superhuman but I had some floor work done because of a flood so I trained in a
commercial gym for 4 days straight which I haven't done in a LONG time and I do go to gyms to
train when I'm helping someone with their training but rarely 4 days in row so it was actually a
pretty good feeling to be able to utilize a few different pieces of equipment that I don't have at
home in my gym and I could actually feel the difference from using the different equipment but after
the 4 days I actually appreciated my own gym even more because I don't have to chase after dumbbells,
wait for others to finish using something, and most of all I don't have to hear the mindless chatter of people
talking on their phones or sitting on benches that others want to use texting.

This is why I LOVE S.A.N. Titanium Whey because they aren't afraid of pushing the envelope when it
comes to their flavors whether you like the flavors or not I gotta applaud S.A.N. for not just doing the
typical Van, Choc, Straw, and C&C that most companies do their protein. If your on the market for a
high quality whey with a unique twist to the flavor Titanium Whey is the WHEY TO GO and that new
Mango Peach sounds CRAZY!!!

Met and started working with the awesome Ziegler Monster. With his guidance and help had an awesome summer bulk gaining over 30lbs so far. Also, went to the Mr. Olympia expo and had a blast all weekend hanging with a new good friend and making a few more.
Even with the passing of my mother a in July it ended up being an awesome summer of gains thanks to your man the Ziegler Monster.

Best part of this summer definitely had to be the cut I went on. I got a little over-zealous during my last bulk, and put on some unnecessary weight. I started my cut in April and here I am 28 pounds lighter and still going! Now I'm in college, am more nutritionally educated, and can't wait to do this next bulk right.

I work at a Tire store with 16 guys ages from 20-33 years of age! Its fun when they told the youngest one to challenge me in 1 arm push ups...... I let him go first he (He of course did not know how to do them) He got a total of 5. So then when it was my turn I did what any IFBB Fitness girl would do..... Get into a handstand- flip out of it and start doing 1 arm push ups. Then I stood up and walked off ( I did 20 really fast ones) 2 things.... he let a girl beat him.... and I am 29 years older than him! So YES I had a FUN Summer!

Amazing Summer
This was my first summer as a dad!
And, my first summer being fit!
My wife and I became proud parents of a little boy early last winter, so I got to enjoy this entire summer with our little guy.
It was early spring, while getting the boat ready for our first outting when I went in the house to change my shirt, looked in the mirror and said WTF! I had maybe never looked at my body before but it hit me like a ton of bricks. This was nothing to be proud of, or a body that would set an example for my son. So, it started working out.
It didn't take long, thanks to a million helpful articles on this website along with hard work and a burning desire to someday be my little boys super hero. Bam I took my "dad bod" to a "hard bod"
Now I've got confidence, a nice body, and a happy wife! Hopefully some day I'll be this little guys super hero!
