Joe Palumbo - tip of the day...
Not sure why but when I am doing abs and biceps, I always forget to breath on the first set. Then I remember and say "crap forgot to breath again". By fourth, I am good - weird.jenleon

Welcome to the challenge Jen. Do you have a specific workout regimen that you follow? Full body workout, individual body part workouts, etc... Looking forward to following your progress over the next couple months.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
If you want it, make it happen. No one else, but you, can make you make it happen.
Don't "JUST DO IT", give it your all.
Anyone can show up and pick up a dumbell, but not everyone will give it their all.
I don't stop working out when my muscles are sore, I stop when I'm done with my workout.
Todays excuses, won't help you tomorrow.

Tip from me... Joe is great and always willing to help anyone, but if you want a direct answer, you will need to go to his regular log. Even being a SWAT officer and an IFBB pro, he makes time to help everyone. http://forum.bodybuilding.com/showth...hp?t=142169941

Week One
Week 1 Jan 13 - 19, 2014
I was very motivated until I got sick on Thursday, so Friday I worked out but not as hard as I would have liked. I used the stationary bike for cardio because of knee pain. I will like to slowly work up to jogging on the treadmill. I also suffered from headaches Monday – Wed, but I think that was my body adjusting to the fewer calorie intake and the change in food over all. No more sweets or fatty foods. On Saturday, I went to the Medieval Fair with friends and was able to stay in line with my diet. I was supper happy with that. I also walked 8,979 steps. While on Sunday did errands and walked 7,093 steps, so for my days off, I was still pretty active and not on the couch all day.

So far so good! Meal prep is keeeeeey... that makes everything else so much easier!! Just, finding the time...
I really, really hate veggies... I'm trying to incorporate them, but even in smoothies I'm kinda grossed out to drink it lol. I bought some frozen, chopped spinach and kale to throw into smoothies. I think it's the only way I'll ever eat those two things, now...BluePrint Believer!

When I entered this challenge I just wanted to be healthy, and in good shape, I was happy with those results, to be a fit woman. Now that it is week 2, my attitude has changed because of the change I am seeing in my body. I want to compete, not just in this challenge, but also in others. I am planning on visiting a local competition for natural bodybuilding to see, if I would like to try one out later in the year. These challenge by Infinite Labs, Dymatize Nutrition, OFB and Bodybuilding.com has lit a fire in my competitive spirit, so thank you for bring the athlete back out to the forefront.
I have also been thinking that I may want to pursue work in the nutrition/fitness industry as a Life/Health Coach and/or a Spokesperson/Model. My passion for fitness is starting to flame on as it once did back when I was 18 years old. Hence, I’m listening to my heart and will go with it. The $50k, Sponsorship or any recognition from these challenges, can help me meet my new goals. I think more importantly, it shows others that you are never too late to get healthy and fit.
While I may not win, because this is my first time entering a transformation challenge, I will give it my all. I am eating right and working out hard. I have seen my body transform in this short time and cannot wait to see what I will look and feel like in 12 weeks. Again, thank you Infinite Labs, Dymatize Nutrition, OFB and Bodybuilding.com, as I already feel like a winner.jenleon

Hey, Jen! Just stopped by to see how you're making out. From the looks of your log, you're doing great! Hope you're feeling better. Sounds like you're having great results with your diet and training! Keep up the good work! BTW I sip on 10 gm of BCAA (IF Watermelon) DURING my workout; seems to be working well. Have a great day!
