I was out of town when you started this thread and only just stumbled across it today. You've got a really nice setup and have done some impressive fab and rehab work on the equipment. I like your choice of machines and benches and am especially jealous of a couple of those pieces - The Bodymasters row, Bodymasters calf, and the new Hammer Strength leg press. How do you like the new Hammer Strength leg press?

Thanks. The bodymaster calf is gone, sold to some lucky guy. I'm trying my best not to go out of control and totally clutter my space again with too much equipment *cough...matrix*
I can work calves on the leg press. IMO the press is an awesome quad burner after squats. I used one of them all the time when I had a gym membership, so it was nice to finally get my own.[]---[] Equipment Crew Member No 7

hahahaha . I think my gym is looking quite nice. I probably didn't need a standing bodymasters preacher curl in my house but I like it and curling in the rack wasn't the quickest setup. . i'll have some updated photos this evening. the precor lat tree will have to go I will probably store it in the shed. its just too big for my gym inside. i'll make do with the ironmaster one. one thing though I did by rearranging stuff make a spot for the 2 dumbbell stands. i'm proud of that .

Well I had a test run on the bench this morning and it was the perfect height for my rack safeties and the pads are just the right width. She's a keeper.
I removed the track linkage system since I won't be needing that.
The little guide plate make a nice temporary handle until I can fabricate something better
I'm going to pick up some black vinyl this weekend and recover the pads until I can get them professionally done.
So the big question is : Do I paint the frame blue to match my rack, or black?[]---[] Equipment Crew Member No 7

I picked up this Panatta delt machine from my friend over the weekend. When I saw it in person I was glad I made the drive. I wasn't familiar with the brand but Panatta is legit.
It's in super clean shape and it really is high quality...super smooth movement, stainless steel guide rods, powder coated weight stack, ball bearing pulleys, etc etc. Plus it has a pretty small footprint.
I don't think I'll have room for it once I find a deal on a hammer chest machine, but until then....

I did a little work this morning on the hammer bench. I found a good solid steel handle out in the scrap pile and welded it on the front. I goes past the bolt holes, so the bench can be converted back to normal later if I ever resell it.

I got the bench painted. Waiting for black naughyde to come in so I can redo the pads. The dang flash on my camera makes it look baby blue but it's darker like the rack.

I'm using a Parabody 843 right now with no complaints.
I'm not sure how short the spotter arms are on that old Body Solid half rack, but I'd guess somewhere in the 18"-20" range. Plenty of room to catch a failed bench press, but really tiny when you're going down with a loaded bar on your back."What lies behind us and what lies before us are tiny matters compared to what lies within us." - Ralph Waldo Emerson

I just sold mine last fall, and the spotter arms were only 11-12". They worked when I had a Mega bench from NewYorkBarbells and faced into the rack while benching (and racked the bar in the bench instead of on the Body Solid rack), but once I switched to an IronMaster bench and had to start using the Body Solid lift-offs, I had only 8" of travel between the end of the lift-offs and the end of the spotter arms. The first time I used my new bench I thought "This IronMaster is really nice, but damn, now I have to get a new rack or I'm going to kill myself".
