How about everyone IN post a vid of their starting max pull by some near future date?
Not that it will tell us who's sandbagging but ehhhh viewing enjoyment.
Also hows about asking for split between 3 plates for Sumo vs conventional DL Race . . . . ummm that's assuming there are peeps planning to submit Sumo vids

I am not posting a vis right now I'm too fat. Srs. Oh I'm cutting . Maybe in three or four weeks.
Vanity thy name is Hallowed
I don't see a need to split sumo vs. Conventional since we are all pulling our best pull. My best is currently sumo. But srsly every chick that gets her three plates and posts vid (which I WILL be doing) is a winrawr and get her name in my avi. My avi that trolls all over the big misc too.

Tried Sumo DL today for the first time (for the first time seriously doing it, tried it a couple yrs back when I was doing like 1 plate and I'm pretty sure was doing it 100% wrong then, lol.) Hit a PR today of 270! Sumo was much easier for me, I guess because I'm short and stocky. I usually only DL like once or twice a month, but now I'm goin' for it!
Ok, you asked for it! I recoreded my sets, wasn't planning on maxing, just trying to get the form and set up down for the Sumo DL. Here are a couple of em - lol at the screaming (goodthingihaveahomegym.jpg) and my stupid phone goes off on the last one but I was oblivious at the time. Is my form god awful? I'm thinking I need to get my shoulders back a bit more and work on lock outs but overall I was happy with it. Also I learned I own exactly 270lbs of plates lol so I ordered a couple 45s for WHEN I need to go past 270. (The big plates on there are only 35s, kinda aggrivating that they're shorter than 45s but I have the bar up on a 1/2" mat so I don't destroy my basement floor, evens out I suppose.)
Current PRs:
Bench Press: 200x1
Deads: 315x1
Back Squats: 275x1

Nice job Hobbes! I wouldn't expect anything less from you.

Ham I bow to your superior grip and roaring voice
My disappointing starting point . . . less edited version than one in my journal which includes my final failed attempt at 275 . . .
Enjoy the crappy gym music and all
btw only watch the first 14 sec unless you wanna wait for me to rotate the bar so you'll can see both 45's since it's not clear from the side angle
Are you sure I can't have my hooks back Pretty please with a cherry on top"Ego kills spirit. Find confidence in your own progress not in comparison to others." - me waking up 11/21/15

MEEETOOOOO.
OMG I abandoned my x5 week of 5 3 1 partly because I was at the gym with dec plates which I refuse to rep heavy with after an injury. Only heavy rep with round plates. But partly because I want to work up to heavy singles chasing the next PR and this race. SO um, the problem with Sumo is if it dies, it dies on the ground. There is no glorious meathead crashing of the loaded bar from below the knees. Oh no, there I am pulling with all my might on 270 and its moving as if its glued to the floor. By which I mean doesn't budge even one damn inch. Wait three minutes try again. Fail. Deload it to 260<-- still can't! DAFUK. So do a secon single of the x250 I did on the way up, leave the gym and eat sugar free popsicles until I pass out.

Trying Sumo really took the awkwardness away from DL - back, quads, hams, and shoulders felt like they were in a more natural position.
Beatha - nice 245, is grip the biggest issue? Ditch hooks, DL, DL, and DL some more = improved grip strength?
Never understood why gyms have those stupid hex plates, tried a couple times with those at the gym I go to, completely screwed me up, will never DL there again.
Holy crap, that was awesome!Current PRs:
Bench Press: 200x1
Deads: 315x1
Back Squats: 275x1
