you are the retard. Buy saying you cant eat a certain type of food, they are over complicating stuff. If you say to a noob you can eat whatever you want to eat, as long as you watch quantities, its a lot more simple and motivating than saying you have to eat this and that at this time.
Ian says its simple. its about quantities and not the type of food you eat.

they hate on the pop tart **** for two reasons:
1) average dude doesn't know **** about counting macros, hes just gonna sit there eating ****ing pop tarts all day er day
2) their trying to promote a healthy lifestyle, who da **** eats pop tarts and ice cream and feels healthy. Sure it fits into your macros but what about your micros. the extreme bulks and cuts the people do aren't healthy in any way, and especially when you do it with ****ing pop tarts.

I really think they must be trolling the whole youtube fitness community. They both follow iifym yet they talk sht about iifym. Lui eats ice cream in countless numbers of vids and the twins talk about going to mcdonalds drive thru and eating other fast foods. They BOTH used to talk about white rice as it was some insulin bomb that promotes instantaneous fat gain now they have vids in which they BOTH eat white rice saying well it doesn't really make a difference. I actually think people are taking this too lightly. They are literally steering hundreds of people in the wrong direction for no reason, myself included at one time. I use to listen to this idiots and my life was just boring as hell and i made 0 gains. brb never drinking, eating out, only clean foods etc...Luimarco is like 30 something years old and has looked the same his whole life besides when he was a fat phuck and lost weight. The twins have been lifting seriously for like 3 years and pretty much hit their muscular potential already. Dem black genetix of peace. srs.

Always in on this thread.
To all of you saying if the Hodge twins don't harm their listeners, they give them 'safe' advice so there's nothing wrong:
When they say that you have to eat clean foods to get leaner, and that it's impossible to get leaner on dirty foods, the many people who listen end up making their lives far less enjoyable, even though if they hit their macros with the occasional 'dirty' food their results wouldn't be any different.
When they say the best way to get big legs is to do 20 reps+, they are slowing down the progress of anyone who follows that advice with their leg training.
When they say beta alanine just gives tingles and doesn't do anything to strength, people will factor this in when they buy a preworkout and maybe even disregard products that have them, even though there is stacks of research that proves how beneficial beta alanine is.
these are just a few examples. Anythign less than accurate advice will mean listeners can't possibly make optimal gains.
Their logic basically is "we did this, and we think is and it has worked very well for us so we must be right".
The problem with that is, something working does not mean it is optimal. Sure their advice 'works' for them, but that doesn't mean if they followed someone elses advice they wouldn't achieved the results even quicker, not to mention they could've made their lives way easier by using a more relaxed diet that fit their macros without affecting their progress.

its just advice
-Some people say good things come to those who wait, truth is, good things come to those who work..... who work later.....who work harder...... who are willing to go further than anyone else to get them. If you're waiting for good things to come to you, you'll be waiting for a pretty long time.

that's what I mean. Hodgetwins never have any scientific backup for what they are saying. They know people could pick apart their broscience so they give a sort of disclaimer at the end of every vid "do whatever you wanna do" which means "I think this worked for me but honestly I have no ****ing idea what I'm talking about"

The problem is all their advice basically boils down to their catchphrase "you can do whatever the Fuk you wanna do"...
You'd be just as well off going into the gym with that mentality as listening to their advice, because nothing they say is based on science or research, it's just what they do when they go into the gym.
They tell people not to do deads or squats, don't eat certain foods, don't do less than 20 reps for legs. The problem is doing all of those things might be hugely beneficial to many lifters. The better thing for a noob to do is learn proper form, how to manage macros, and from there find out what kinds of lifts work for them. The twins give so much anecdotal advice that pretty much everything they say is useless to the average joe. You'd be just as well off creating your own program.

urine idiot man
they say they don't deadlift because their backs are messed up. and they cannot squat because of that as well.
they don't say don't do deadlifts, rather that it's a dangerous exercise and you don't need it. which is true, you don't NEED to do deadlifts. they are many other compound movements out there.
they have better physiques than everyone ITT so haters gonna hate

Yes their backs are fuked up, and they act as though anyone that does a lift they wouldn't do is going to "snap their sh!t up." You don't NEED to do deadlifts, but you don't NEED to avoid them either. Just because 2 clowns fuked up their backs doesn't make it a dangerous exercise, but that's exactly how they portray it.
