your life consists of thinking too much. everytime you want to do something, you sit down and think about the pro and contras and try to find a legit reason. most of your time is wasted thinking. you try to always do the "right thing", but there is no right thing, since every human is different. that "right thing" in your mind is sculpted by people around you like parents, grandparents, teacher etc. but you will never be able to please everyone, thats why your experiences in life will be limited compared to someone who always did what his heart told him.
you cant make your own decisions because you lack self confidence and you are afraid of rejection. its easier to do things you got told than making your own decisions (like soldiers who kill people because they got told to). one day you will realise you didnt live your life. you wasted your life listening to the few people who you think they did it all right. you never listened to your heart and therefore never experienced real joy, since real joy and happiness comes from doing the thing you want at the time you want. you never developed your own personality.
yes i did things i wouldnt do now, but at one time exact those things were what i wanted to do and contributed to me having fun and enjoying life at that particular time and they are now part of memories that i will have for my whole life. im going to think about them when im old and smile.

you live just ones... no second chance at enjoying life... never forget that.

this is good quality tatts, money well spent not like majority of people my age (20) who get them out of vanity and attention, arent willing to spend enough on a decent artist and get some lame word or picture that every man and his dog has

I think you are being too general. Some tattoos are heartfelt or original. My friends got one he designed himself (hes an artist), and when a close friend of mine past away at 19 some people got a small grave tattoo'ed in his name. I think its about the tattoo having some meaning to the person, that's what sets it apart.

I read this article online saying something about how being tattooed was an outward display of the physical soundness and resilience of a persons body. It's supposedly showed their body was strong and more healthy than the average persons, thus making them better mating material. However I subscribe more to the major histo-compatibility theory of mate selection than things like tattoos.

No, but if I saw two chemicals engineers, one with tattoos, one clean, and I had to make a snap decision, I'd pick the clean one as the smarter of the two. It doesn't automatically make you retarded, but dumber looking than you would without it. That's fine, its your choice to get a tattoo, just don't complain when people judge you for it because it DOES typically correspond with lower intelligence. Congrats. However, if I see tattoo's on my lawyer, he/she is instantly fired. #1 if they do have them, I don't want to see them.. #2 of they are showing from under a suit, like on the hands or neck, that indicates massive retardation and I would never hire that person as a lawyer to begin with.

Especially for people who get tattoos for no reason and get something superficial done like a sports team logo. But in general, there is no good reason to get a tattoo. People who get them are generally acting out of peer pressure or stupidity(i.e. not thinking).
