I agree. Here in Europe, Rogue (http://www.rogueeurope.eu/) is the standard reference for all serious athlete. In the past, delivery times from Suede were relatively long. Since Rogue EU has a new warehouse in Belgium, delivery time does not exceed one week. Excellent US made equipment. Very well studied, crafted and welded. Dozen of various accessories. Superior quality packaging. Excellent customer client.
I don't know for the barbells, but Rogue racks are among the best and are priced reasonably well.

Crazy is good as the topic got exhausted fast and I got at least 2-3 great laughs.
Your point here combined with their shipping prices/logistic speed is why I own mostly Rogue (plus it's a good quality/price nexus for me). I was exiting a very busy personal/work period and wanted to setup a home gym before I got busy again. They had stuff I wanted in stock and could move quickly. Rogue had quality products I needed and a lot of stuff I liked - I did spend a lot of time looking around and did order a few pieces separately but 90% was Rogue. A week later everything was built and I was thrilled to be lifting in my own home.
They aren't generating original ideas and with their breadth of product price/utility will miss their normal target at times but overall their product suite is complete and very solid for price/quality. That said I see their business management/supply/delivery is best in class IMO.▪█─────█▪ Rogue Barbell Crew #27 ▪█─────█▪

Haven't been able to "rep" many of you for a year or more...not for lack of trying.

Don't know if this hasn't been asked before, but what's the difference between the:
RML-690
RML-690C
R-6
I understand they are different in square tubing size (2x3 vs 3x3) and the main difference between 690 and 690c are colors are an option on the 690c. Any "out of the ordinary" differences? I understand accessories might be available for certain series as well.
I'm not getting a rack right now, but If one came about used or I was able to sell my smith for one. I would like to know which one I should get...opinions from people that have them would be nice. Mainly just looking for a rack with weight storage and pin pipe, as well as a monkey bar pullup option. Also 90" is key.
Edit: Actually just checked back on Rogue website RM-6 is out of the options the top is flush. Im looking at the other 3 because the uprights go above the top crossmembers.

RML is Rogue monster lite, which uses 11ga, 3x3 tubing with 5/8" holes spaced at 2" and 1" in the bench region (also known as westside spacing)
the 690 is a 6 post with a 43" section and a 24" section. i believe all racks are 43" inside dimensions
C has to be for color, so you have a list of colors to chose from other the the black
RM is Rogue monster which is now 11ga 3x3" tubing with 1" holes spaced at 2", also the side has 1" to 5/8" keyholes (you can use all 1" pin accessories) Also like you said the top crossmembers sit flush to the top. I believe all the accessories for this has uhmw protection while the monster lite does not.
the R-6 is off their infinity line which is 11ga 2x3 tubing with the 5/8" holes spaced at 2" then 1" in the bench region again. The 6 means 6 post with the 43 and 24 spacing and 43 inside, and since it is 2x3 tubing the outside dim is 47 so you have more space between the ends of the barbell, compared to the 3x3 tube ones with a 49" outside dim.Best Raw total 1850 at 181 lbs

If we're jumping on the Rogue hate train: I don't like their flat bench designs. I give them credit for at least making the pad the width it should be unlike so many other companies. But why don't they have a tripod design for their flat benches? This looks like they didn't put any thought or time into it. This bench wobbles from side to side and for me, the front support gets in the way of my feet. The bolt-together version doesn't wobble as much but I expect a better design from Rogue for a $200 bench.
Their adjustable bench 2.0 has a tripod design, it would be close to ideal if they just used that for their flat benches
EliteFTS has the right idea but their quality control and customer service leaves much to be desired
Funnily enough, several companies sell a $100 Chinese bench (Atlas/Barbells4me on Amazon, EquipmentRaw in the past, probably others) that actually has an excellent design. I don't know if it's stolen from another major brand but it is the right height and width, stable with the tripod supports and very easy to move and maneuver with the handle and wheels. A beefed up version of this would be the best flat bench on the market!

Yep, I'm loving that cheap Atlas bench so far. No complaints, and I see no reason to spend the added cost to own a Rogue bench (sorry guys). However, in general I do like Rogue but I was far less impressed with my recent customer service experience when I bought my Dog Sled a couple months back. To keep it short, the poles did not fit into the skis and I was basically unable to use it. It took nearly three weeks to get a solid resolution from Rogue, largely due to them ignoring my opinion on what the issue really was. After they finally pulled their heads out of their arses they sent me new poles and the problem was solved.

One of the poles would only fit into the skis about 50% of the time, and then the other wouldn't hardly go in at all. I sanded the ends and it didn't help, then sent a thorough video and measurements to Rogue for review. After taking a while to respond I contacted them to see what was going on, and they deemed it was faulty Skis (contrary to my suggestion that it was the poles). When the skis arrived they didn't work either, I had to ship those back and then wait for Rogue to send poles. In the end it worked out, and I still have the extra poles in a Rogue box that I need to take to UPS.
Edit: But the core of the problem was the poles were likely bent or warped.Last edited by urbanlifter; 07-09-2016 at 08:04 PM.
