It wasn't in my house or garage, but I saw this one on Monday evening...

Here's a pretty picture, also from Monday, for those who don't like spiders:

I just hand wash them in a sink filled with Dawn and hot water, then let them dry.

Mine are probably close to 9 year old. Never washed. I just keep them inside out when not used to help them air out.

I am with Jason. I never felt the need to wash them. If they get too crusty, I just chip 'em out.

I do keep mine inside out and often stand them on end so they aren't, you know, still sweaty the next time I put them on because that's over the line lol

    Page 2 bump...

I saw another rattler while hiking tonight. It didn't rattle - it was pretty sedate, just lying across the trail. It crawled off the trail as I got my camera out, but hung around long enough for me to get a photo.

Two other photos from my Monday Night hike... The first photo is a view of the Superstitions and Goldfields from the Scenic Trail in MMRP. Weaver's Needle is at the far left and the Flatiron is at the middle-right.

    Sunrise from last Friday:

    Page 3 bump...

Two photos from last Sunday - these were taken from the Limestone Trail #252 which is in the Tonto NF and is accessed via the Spur Cross Ranch Conservation Area. I had hiked the Limestone Trail several times before and found it to be difficult to follow. On Sunday, it seemed relatively straightforward.

Looking toward the east. The high formation at the left is part of Skull Mesa.

Elephant Mountain w/ Fortress to the left and in front. The fortress is a lesser peak with mostly steep sides. There is a relatively easy (though steep) way up on the other side which was also defensible by those at the top. Ancient peoples had built stone walls near the top to make it even more defensible.

    Congrats on the twins!

Re: gettin snipped. If you go that route, I recommend getting that procedure done on the Thursday morning that March Madness kicks off. Pretty much guarantees being left alone in front of the tv for 4 days.

If you are not a basketball fan, the strategy works for other events. Ex: college bowl season, the Masters, World Cup soccer, NFL playoffs, etc.

congrats bud! I can’t imagine having twins, good luck haha. As far as getting snipped it wasn’t a big deal and was probably the best $700 I’ve ever spent!

I got snipped when I was 25, no big deal. Iced it that day, couple Advil next morning, back in the bedroom and the gym little over a week.

Thanks. I'm not in a hurry to get it done, but it's something to keep in mind.

thanks! they're full term, luckily, but just barely @ 37 weeks. we really lucked out they weren't too early or too tiny (they both hit 5 pounds 3 oz) but one nice thing is right now they only want to sleep. We have to wake them up every 3 hours to make them eat. that will change soon, sadly
