Yeah, next episode he will be going through the whole beta thing. Then as soon as Negan leaves, he'll show it was all an act and start talking uprising.

I really like this show and all, but am I the only one who thinks Chris Hardwick takes it too seriously? He makes it sound like Talking Dead is going to be a therapy session. I know people get attached to characters, but it is still fictional.

that's exactly what's going to happen -- they're going ruin it by with 3-4 ****ty episodes.

Pretty close to a 10/10 episode in my view. Great acting by everybody

When the show has halfway competent writing, it's one of the absolute best shows on TV - so many great characters and the directors they use are almost always excellent

If this had happened I would have given this episode a 10/10. But this is easily the best show yet. By far.

For brahs who were complaining about the end of season 6, the cliffhanger actually makes sense. There's no way they could have fit that 20 minutes of him killing the two characters and then almost having Rick chop off Karl's hand at the end of season 6.

Worked out much better overall

They could have ended with him killing Glenn first.

Then people would let their guard down, and he could have killed Abe this episode.

They could have done it, but they're pretentious *******s who hate their fans.

What a start to the new season. This episode delivered hard, and the acting was top knotch.

I'm curious how long it will take Rick to regain his composure after everything that has happened so far. Negan made sure he broke Rick right down to his core to the point he won't do anything.

They'll most likely switch to Morgan/Carol in the next episode, and they might provide the fire Rick needs to go back to his savage ways.

I hope we find out more about the people that saved Carol/Morgan, I feel like they can oppose Negan's Crew.

Not really. They could have broken into two episodes or had a two hour episode. Or just kill Glenn and have that be it.

I like how Breaking Bad did the Ozymandias episode and the one prior to it. TWD could have gone it like that

That was handled perfectly. It sucks having to wait that long but it ended up being well worth it
