Between post here, IG pics of Cinnatopia and going back to Eric's review of Chocolate Cupcake (that first bite reaction is classic), I had to pull the trigger.

I want to hear what you think of the cinnatopia. No one else in my family wanted it so I didn't get it but I'm going to put another order in later this month.
You can't help the hopeless.

Placed an order of 10 Little G pints(wife going to kill me). Went with:
Seasonal Flavors: Peanut Butter Cup Cheesecake
Seasonal Flavors: Carrot Cake
Triple Cookie Dough
Triple Cookie Dough
Snack Attack
Marshmallow Crispy Treat
Confetti Birthday Cake
Movie Night
Cowboy Cookie
Snack Attack
Keep in mind not a chocolate fan as you could figure out from the lack of any chocolate based ice creams. Jenis is on my radar for the next order. Need that Gooey Butter Cake!
Editing to say I meant Ample Hills over Jenis. Not sure why I got Jenis on my mind since last week was looking at Ample Hills.Last edited by crpav; 03-13-2017 at 03:55 PM.

Chocolate Caramel Potato Chip Cupcake waxes Cinnatopia, trust me! And you goofed by not buying Coconut Slated Caramel Bars.. Such a good flavor and even better than Cinnatopia in my opinion!
Correction... I am pretty sure you mean CHOCOLATE CARAMEL POTATO CHIP CUPCAKE!!!
Humphry Slocombe Secret Breakfast
I first tried this flavor in an actual scoop shop while visiting San Francisco last summer. It is one of Humphry Slocombe’s signature flavor. So when they offered it as past of a fall limited edition pack, I was excited to revisit it in pint form.
The base is a great balance of bourbon and vanilla ice creams. The first few bites of the base alone will definitely hit you with a boozy flavor. The bourbon is fairly strong, but nothing that is going to ruin your ice cream, unless you just despise bourbon. I am not even the biggest fan of whiskey/bourbon and this base didn’t even bother me.
However, after a few bites, your palate becomes tolerant to the bourbon flavor and the creaminess of the vanilla begins to kick in. I thought this was a nice to keep the flavors changing within the base. Another note was that the base melted really fast for some reason (the pint did contain bourbon and was actual really low in fat).
The mixins sound unique but really aren’t that special. The cornflake cookies basically consist of cornflakes with some added flour and dough. One of the problems is that they are grinded and chopped up too small. The other problem is that the bourbon base overpowers their flavor. On the other hand, their texture was different and actually nothing like a cookie. They were more along the lines of rice krispie treats. Each bite had somewhat of a soggy and airy texture to it, but was extremely chewy.
In the end, this pint is worth trying just once. The bourbon base is different than most bases, but the balance between it and the vanilla is what really makes it stand out. The cornflake cookies sounded like an awesome mixin, but paled in flavor, especially within that bourbon base. I remembered it being much better in scoop form from the actual shop, but this pint is still worth a buy if you ever come across it. B-I.C.E.D.

Salt and Straw Chocolate Caramel Potato Chip Cupcake
This was my first S&S order. It arrived faster than I thought it would seeing as how I live on the East Coast. It took three business days.
The base was nice and dense. It scooped easily and it was nice and smooth on the tongue. No iciness or anything like that. The base is chocolate and is apparently malted. I don't really eat a lot of malted things, so I didn't notice any malt, but I'm not the person to ask about that. The ice cream was also salted. I didn't pick up on that either, but it wasn't very sweet, so my guess is that the base is saltier than usual but wasn't salted like you would get in a salted caramel.
My first bowl of it was pretty good. The chocolate chunks were the right amount of dark for me. I like my chocolate bitter but not too bitter. There were also a lot of potato chips which provided a good crunch and saltiness. I didn't get very much caramel or cupcake, which would have made the first bowl great, but the little of caramel I did get was nice and deep (but not too deep- as that would just be burnt).
The second bowl I had was loaded with caramel which really elevated the flavor for me. It was almost getting stuck to my teeth there was so much caramel. That's what I'm talking about. Not as much potato chip in the middle of the pint, but there was more cupcake and a good amount of chocolate chunks through out the pint. The cupcakes were nice and soft, but I didn't get much flavor out of them. I didn't taste the coffee syrup they were soaked in, but I'm not a huge coffee fan, so that's probably not a downside for me.
The third bowl I had was the best in terms of balance. I got the best distribution of caramel, potato, and cupcake here.
The last bowl of the pint had a good amount of caramel but not as much as the middle of the pint did. I didn't get much potato chip or cupcake here.
As you can see, it's all gone.
S&S really did a good job here. If their other flavors even approach this, I'm going to have to increase my ice cream budget.

Oh my bad man! I am glad we agree though.. It is an amazing flavor to say the least!
Yesssirrr I did.. I will dig them up sometime today and have them posted in the morning for you my man!
Most people in here know that the Chocolate Caramel Potato Chip Cupcake is my favorite.. I think Cinnatopia is way overrated from a lot of reviews, BUT still a great pint! I wish I had known you were ordering and I would have persuaded you to hit up the Coconut Caramel Bars. Easily the best vegan ice cream ever, you can't even tell it is vegan because the base is still so dense and creamy!
Little g Peppermint Bark
The white chocolate is very distinct and easily stands out even with the peppermint chocolate fudge swirl and the peppermint bark mixins. This is extremely hard to do and I give here major props for being able to pull off a base like this. It is full of cocoa butter giving it an authentic white chocolate buttery flavor and even seems slightly denser than her other bases. HD is probably my favorite white chocolate base, but this is right up there with it, if not better.
Most of my swirl was down at the very bottom of the pint. So the first half of the pint was more peppermint and white chocolate heavy, while the bottom half I was able to mix up the ice cream to get more chocolate fudge flavor. The swirl is thick, dense and very sweet; so sweet that it is gritty at times from the sugar granules. It has a sweet peppermint after taste, but the chocolate that hits you at first is definitely more a fudge flavor, almost reminiscent of a brownie.
The flavor describes homemade peppermint bark chunks. This is true, but we actually have two different types. One is your classic peppermint bark (chocolate layer on the bottom with white chocolate on top). These are hard, crunchy and the flavor really isn’t that noticeable between the white chocolate base and the peppermint fudge swirl. The crunch was a nice change of pace though.
The other mixin is peppermint candy, which has a peppermint center coated in chocolate. These have more of a hollow center in them. For those of you who have had Ample Hills’ Crack Cookies, this is the consistency of them. For those of you who haven’t, imagine the crispiness of almond brittle or coated honeycombs and this is what you are getting, a mixin that is very crispy.
Being a fan of the chocolate and peppermint combo, I enjoyed this pint quite a bit. The white chocolate base is authentic, buttery and one of the best I have ever scooped. The fudge swirl may be a little too peppermint-y for some, but the brownie flavor helps to balance that out. The crunch of the peppermint bark and candy mixins did nothing but help this pint. Although their flavor wasn’t that noticeable, the white chocolate base and fudge peppermint swirl are enough to keep this pint interesting, and well above average! A-

I know everyone is crazy about S&S, but I just can't financially pull the trigger. I can only do Little G with the Goldbely vouchers, and I'll finally be able to do Ample Hills due to Amazon.
In the meantime, I'll just stick with Handels once a year on my Indy trip, and the occasional Cold Stone with the BOGO coupon. I'll just live through you alliForce Blueberry Muffin: forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=169778043

Eric is one of the OG's that no longer posts here, but this community has also seen others like Bob and pkahnman move on.
Would they raise the quality if they came back? For sure, but don't let that cloud your judgement.
"The same" was also a time when some of the newer contributors (such as yourself) were not around. So we've lost some, but also gained some.
At this point, I'm more interested in the gaining part.

It's all good mang: you recognise the ice cream hierarchy. What rustles me are the unawares who come in here posting store brands, "frozen desserts", and generally absurd opinions.

What does everyone think of Halo Top? They sell it at Whole Foods. It's a gourmet natural ice cream which mainly uses erithrytol as the sweetener. Compared to other ice creams, the calories and sugar are lower, and the protein is a bit higher. I love it, but it's a little too expensive to have all the time.
