Huge mistake on Cora's part to bring in their closer at 8.

What an amazing game. Gardy with the clutch triple, that was huge. Then The Judge (all rise) hit's a 2 run homer. Wow, just WOW.

Best of all "Boston sucks" chant was on all night, brought a tear to my eye. LOL.

I'm really hoping this sparks gardner to at least start hitting. Hope Judge, sanchez or stanton have a crazy month. IDK what they are going to do when bird and andjuar come back. I'd assume send tyle austin down. try to platoon drury /andjuar? MAybe trade for a pitcher

I remember looking at the schedule back in April and dreading this stretch.. Figured the Yankees would be LUCKY to go .500 during it. Look at the teams they've steamrolled through:



'98 Yankees and other great teams went on tears like this too but I don't think any were against such a stacked schedule of the top teams in baseball.

Yeah I'm hoping they keep Andujar on the line up. It's going to be tough shuffling the lineup.

I honestly think they need to send Betances down to AAA until he finds his groove back. He can't pitch 2 innings without imploding, let alone pitching just 1 inning. To his credit, it was JD Martinez that hit the homer against him yesterday on his first pitch on the 8th but at this point I would trust all the other relief pitchers that we have over him to get outs in the late innings. I like the guy a lot and he did a lot of things in previous years but man he needs serious work.

Sonny gray reminds of ted lilly , jeff weaver and javier vasquez ....guys with good stuff who just can't pitch in NY... with him your always in a deficit. But bullpen hasn't been great especially robertson this year

Chapman comes in and walks the bases loaded, gets a strike out then a fly ball to Gardner and a throw to the plate that was ruled a score then overturned because Sanchez caught the guy on the jersey. Incredible

I understand how you feel but there's still a ton of baseball left to play, not even halfway through. Give them time to adjust. Austin has done well against left-handed pitchers, by well I mean he's been destroying them. We need him in those situations. I don't blame Judge, his strikezone by default is huge, and he was the unfortunate recipient of some really terrible strike calls by the umps yesterday. When the umps dictate his plays, he has to swing at everything or else it'll always be called a strike.

With that said, I truly believe there are a couple of guys they could send down to triple-A to find their groove. Betances and maybe Sonny Gray. Betances has given up multiple games to terrible relief pitching. Gray is just as fragile as Betances and can implode quick when they get frustrated.

Gary Sanchez past 6-7 weeks has looked horrible with the exception of one or two games.. ITs insane how Stanton started the season in a horrible slump. Didi had a historically bad slump.. and now sanchez. Plus getting a very low OBS from the first base position all season. Can't wait for these guys to all be hitting together.. nice of jacoby elsbury to never show up in pinstripes btw. 22 mil a year wasted

Boy am I happy for being wrong about Betances. Last 14 appearances only allowed 1 hit. He's back to his good ol' form.

I just hope Sonny can turn around before the all-star break, if not then in my best Michael Kay impression "See yaa!!".

And oh man aren't we witnessing something great right now with Severino? The guy is an absolute shut out every time he's on the mound. Feel good about taking another series against Boston. That's back to back to back to back series win with the other top 3 teams in the MLB.
