Well I've been going about 3,4 days a week before. So adding in another day I feel I'll get results quicker. Especially now that I'm doing more compound movements. Yes I'm another one that did those "beginner mistakes" not doing much bench press, squats, ect at the start. But now I'm doing them and I'm loving it, especially Bench pressing and deadlifts.

Make sure you throw in a little bit of cardio every workout too, even if it's only a 10-15 min warmup. I find when I do cardio my strength goes up, because I'm getting more oxygen to my muscles because of it.

Bench, deads and squat are the three big ones. Make sure you put them in to your routine, or some variation at least!

    Great advice.

If you have bad knees, like me, you can still get a lot out of the dead lift by doing straight-legged dead lifts, or rack pulls. I'm on a weight-loss program, and I only currently do compound lifts (no point in isolating muscles you can't see yet LOL). Clearly this is not a concern for you, but general advice.

Yep! way ahead of you on the cardio thing! I do some treadmill running 5 mins pre workout, and then 10-15 mins post workout.

I like it, you can use chalk which most commercial gyms don't allow and the dbs go to 140. It does get busy, 5-8 during the week is the worst time to go but it's never been so busy that I couldn't get through a workout although you might have to wait a bit for something from time from time but most of the people there are nice and there's 2 squat racks and 4 power racks

    Also cheaper than goodlife sp

Was 11 this morning, and we hit a high of ~18 or so, I believe?

Supposed to be 24 this week, but I'll believe it when I see it...

Who's watching the Olympia this weekend? Any favourites? Phil's probably taking it again this year, but I wouldn't mind Kai shocking us with the win. I like the entire line up really - Phil, Kai, Wolf, Shawn, Ramy, Jon, Juan, Roelly, Vic...could go on. It's a stacked line up....

I think Phil is going to take it again this year. He brings the whole package. I do think that Kai has him beat in the back department, but that won't win it for him I don't think. I'm also interested to see what Ramy will bring this year since he actually had time to prepare for this Olympia.

I think I'm going to start saving my pennies so that I can go watch it in person within the next few years. It would be awesome to see in person!
