Shoot a LOT more. I have a membership to a great local range...already went 4 times in the last 10 days...which is probably more times than I shot through the first 11.5 months of 2015

This for me. GF's grandmother's property has a range on it, so we can go there as often as we want. Just got an AR-15 from a buddy (S&W M&P15-Sport). Have borrowed a 22 pistol from my dad for her to shoot (she has never fired any guns - save for shotguns when she was younger - until recently). She enjoys the 22. She just got a SCCY CPX-2 9mm. She doesn't like it as much, but hasn't shot it much.

January 1st, worst gym day of the year.

All of the new years resolutions mean a crowded gym. Ugh.

My goals are keep on the grind. Still have debts to keep paying down (on the path, just going to take time). Near term, need to figure out what happened with my washer. Been trying to work on it with the help of some forums, google and youtube. Just stopped mid-cycle. Not trying to buy a new one if I can help it.

I believe I can. I just don't do much in the electrical field. But when I finish this one conference call I'm on, I'm going to go and use the multi-meter to test a bunch of stuff, to give the results to some techs on an appliance forum to see if I can't get this farther along. Just been busy the last couple of days.


Before you have to ask, I'm working from home today, so that is how I'll mess with it once this call is done.

Ahh - so you've opened 'er up and seen the error code on the board? Just curious what's broken. I dabble in washing machine repair (every time my own machine fails).

No code. It died mid-cycle (realized when I went to move the clothes to the dryer and they were still soaked).

It is an LG front load. I can spin the drum by hand and the little chime will start and the display board will come on. Initially, I thought the breaker flipped. Checked it, it was fine (reset the breaker for the washer anyways). Then I tested the washer into a different nearby plug. Nothing. I tested a different appliance in the plugs the washer was normally at. They worked. So that ruled out the socket.

I had bought a tested/used display board (I forgot about manually spinning the drum to test the display board). I bought a tested/used main board first and replaced it. It didn't fix it. Then I did the display board.

The tech on the forum told me to test the noise filter board to make sure I have power going out of it to the main board.

I used a basic continuity meter and saw that there was power making it all the way through to the display board, albeit, the farther along the line I went, the weaker the light lit up.

Have you tried clearing error codes anyway? Usually there's a sequence to do that, and sometimes that's all you need to do.

Usually it's just a series of beeps or blinks. Looks like the board has a red LED and a speaker. Anything coming out of those when you turn the machine on?

The reset/error clearing sequence is usually something like turn on machine, open and close the top door a certain number of times in 15 seconds, etc.
