yep i dont think some people understand what is going on here. investing in a market with total market cap of ~260B cap with the potential that this one has.... lucky (and smart) bastards.

i sometimes liken it to people who invested heavily during the rise of the internet and .com boom. there are still clips floating around showcasing media and other figureheads doubting the rise of the internet. then of course you had others who kept their head down and continued to plow cash in.

i was too young for all of that. now is the fcking time and it's not a coincidence that all of the monster corporations and investors are IN. follow the money. doubt it at your peril

Gotta keep an eye out for this on high TF, the 100MA on weekly acting as support. Was the end of the '14-15 bear and overall it looks really similar to what's going on rn. Gunna take a lot of time to get a clearer picture tho

So far i've felt this market recovery is little bit different compared to 14-15 recovery.

- no green nvt signal at bottom.
- Accumulation happened steadily over 3 months instead of massive wicks.
- Time spent near bottom in 2014-15 was 300 days. (Now its just 150 days.)
- This bear market seemingly has ended fast.

yeah, but I see some legitimate reasons for the differences:

one being that btc pumped twice massive amounts with only a small break in between before it went into the '14 bear

The other being that in '14 btc was way less known about, trusted, desired, etc. Mt gox got nailed which was 80% of btc volume at the time if I'm remembering correctly.

And finally, either none or very little institutional interest in it at that point.



Also noteworthy was how relentless the two pumps were, very vertical with no pullbacks and it paid for it after. The '16-17 runup by comparison was more methodical and had healthy pullbacks/supply dumps throughout

But i think the big institutions have always been interested in BTC.

So if everything goes according to plan and no further massive pullbacks which breaks 6k - we can expect a long and healthy bull cycle. I am not too hopeful of even btc going back to 6k RN.

Yeah the main thing that kept me going during the bear market was seeing all the institutional interest and institutional initiatives. Just figured that if they’re investing so much and building so much then that it has to be a good bet.

I agree, when you see Rockefeller + Soros + Rothschild family funds announce in 2018 they are getting into crypto, this is no longer a basement dwellers game of old.

Also watching the show Billions it was a bit of a lightbulb moment for me, where the billionaire gave Ledger Nanos as 1m bonuses for guys that did shady ****, highlighting crypto benefits:

1. The dirt poor - **** currency ie venezuela
2. Middle income - 0 wage growth, inflation, QE, rich gap widening, well now we have crypto gains
3. Rich - Hiding money, keeping it out of the banking system, un-seizable asset.

Potential losers: Govt.

I'm hoping the rich and special interests/govt employees want the benefits more personally than their patriotic idealism.

If a **** coin like Harmony can go 5-6x for a marketcap of $270m on listing, I think FTM, currently at $38m can do similar if not better. FTM has all but been guaranteed listing. Rate Andre Cronje heavily too.

Anyone else noticing the massive IEO trend on Binance, pretty much the ICO formula used in times past when guys would throw money at ICOs one of them would boom and more than pay for the losers.

Except now Binance IEOs are pretty much guaranteed pump 2x+, going to have to start holding some BNB for these IEOs I think..

Good comment, although I think there is never a bad time to buy bnb. It is going to severley pump during the next run. I've been putting $100 a week into it for the last 3 week's and will continue to accumulate for as long as I can.

But we need to keep in mind - they've not taken off yet. They can stay in these regions for a long time, and if this support level breaks it's hard to predict where wtc will go as there is no significant support till another 50% drop in value.

IMO its not the right time to be buying bnb.

Seems the time is ripe for slightly smaller market coins- Eth and others probably good. Usually after bitcoin gains it sucks money into it from alts as people want safe profits. Then money trickles down the projects as people search for big gains and go for riskier and riskier coins.
