New to cigars, and drinking.
Recently found out I enjoy scotch. So I think I have my basics covered with scotch.
Going here next weekend and want some advice on cigars;

Brands they carry:

Recommend one to me for beginner/first time.

Good call on watching CO vids. That is where I learn so much info on cigars when I first started out.
Monthly subscriptions or the grab bag samplers are great for guys that are just starting out. It will give you a great range of different sticks to help you figure out exactly what you like. The thread is also a great place for asking questions too. A lot of nice, knowledgeable guys ITT.Tolerance and apathy are the last virtues of a dying society. ~ Aristotle

Stopped at a new (to me) B&M yesterday and was blown away by the selection and the low prices compared to other local B&Ms. The place is basically a remolded early 1900s house turned into a cigar shop. They had a killer set up inside with nice leather couches and TVs and a cool patio out front. I will defiantly Picked up a Connecticut stick from MF that the gentleman working there recommended, a Kristoff Sumatra Lancero, and a Jericho Hill Toro (have been wanting to try these).

My lewt stash for fist time cigar smoker.
-The lighter sucks ass, they didn't fill it when purchased (found out after going back next day they should have)
-Cigar cutter is meh at best but it works as intended
-Padron 3000 tasted like nothing IMO
-Others didn't have much flavors, or at least the way I envisioned them
So went back when I had to get lighter refilled, got a Padron 1964 Anniversary? That chit was BANGING! And I bought another forgot brand/name. (was recommended as a flavorful one to drink with).

Yea man, I enjoyed it very much. Good woody and leather notes with some sweetness and then some spiciness on the second half.
A new(new to me) local B&M I found has the Maduro, Sumatra, Ligero, and Corojo Ligero in Lancero. I was very impressed. They probably had 12-16 different Lancero offerings which is right up my alley.Tolerance and apathy are the last virtues of a dying society. ~ Aristotle

About to make a big purchase, birthday to be exact.
CigarsInternational seems nice however at least in every review of sampler packs at least 2-4 reviews say they are dry and CI should start shipping with moisture packs.
Anyone know of a site that is reputable and does care enough to ship with moisture packs?

Going with CI then. Their samplers look awesome. Wide assortment vs other sites.
Going to order from Thompson Cigars too, they seem to be only ones to carry Empresario cigars, CigarObession said that's his cheap go to cigar in Maduro/Churchill.
Whats a bad ass coca/chocolate/dark chocolate non-infused cigar? Will all maduro's have hints of these flavors?
