He's fine, gotta have surgery on his wrist and will have no use of either hand until they heal.

Brain is bruised with some bleeding but he's 100% aware and awake with no memory issues

Taking out an personal loan to buy the bike is significantly cheaper than that even with the high interest. I know some of you have been in this situation, what did or would you do?

There's no way a Ninja 650 should cost that much to insure at your age and with a clean record at that. At 20 years old I was paying less than that. Shop around. Allstate gave me a really good rate saving me over $100/yr with same exact coverage in addition to underinsured/uninsured driver. Prior to that I was getting insurance through Foremost which is also a good company to check out. Shopping around for rates cannot be emphasized enough.

I kinda bought another bike. my stable is now a 13 750, 08 cbr 600, 07 gsxr 600, and 05 sportster. bought a 07 for 2800 with 19k miles. it ran like poop. I got it, changed plugs, filter, bought a stock exhaust on craigslist for 50 bucks and put it on, it had a 2 brothers and ran like crap and was annoying. Changed coolant, pulled 2 stripped frame slider bolts.

Runs like a champ now, so now I will keep cbr 600 for parking lot stunting/crashing and 600 will be spare and track bike. 750 strictly daily riding/playing. and sportster is for the chics. I am officially done buying motorcycles unless i get a supermoto. just don't have the room or the liquid cash to blow anymore.

Nurses don't have that much debt here out of school. Going to a public university they'll usually have maybe $30k and even then that's quite a bit. Probably one of the best fields here to get into with a good ROI.

Yeah I work in schools now and the teachers seem to start around $50k. That's not too bad but I know a lot of them have a shtload of debt from the amount of schooling they've went through.

It's pretty much 1500 to 2000 every where I look, if I change my riding experience to 3 years it drops to 700 ish a year. I talked to the bank about an unsecured loan and they'll get me at 10.5 interest which isn't all that bad, 250 bucks on 18 months, I wouldn't normally do it but I save more than that in 2 months I just have to drive safe.
