I picked up the Troy VTX 3 tier dumbbell rack and it worked great for my full set of roundheads 5-100lbs. I ordered mine from wayfair to save on shipping and had a coupon code, however it appears they no longer carry it.
Here it is listed on Dumbbellbuddy website.

*Tried to upload my personal pics from photobucket but it says i need to update my account for 3rd party sharing???* Does anyone know how to do that?Last edited by BIgOrange865; 10-04-2017 at 08:29 AM.

Thanks - I'll check it out! Any idea if Legacies would also fit on it since they have the shorter handles?
I think you have to pay in order to share pics from photobucket now which is unbelievable.
EDIT: I ran home over lunch to sign for the Legacy DB's that showed up today (pairs of 60, 80, and 90 - going to have to wait on a pair of 70's as they were sold out). The good news is that they didn't show up in a big box like I've seen in the past few weeks. The bad news is that they were, at some point, on a pallett, but not strapped down very well. At some point during the drive they had rolled off the pallett and were rolling freely in the bad of the semi. I looked them over real quick and other than damage to the paint, they seem to be in good working order. I'll have to take a look in more detail tonight to make sure all the heads are tight and nothing is bent. But there were no chunks out or anything. I was going to repaint them to match my Roundheads anyways - so as long as paints the only issue then it's no big deal. But jeesh - they have some shipping issues. Hopefully it's only because they don't want to mess around with the clearance DB's.Last edited by swimmer32; 10-04-2017 at 12:01 PM.

Scored a nice bar and plates today from the original owner who said he purchased in 1978 or 79. All Kg and all milled except the 1.25s. I've got 12 20Kg plates now and over 1000Kg total including bumpers and change plates. Gym is getting too full so I'm trying to decide if I want to downsize lbs and use all Kgs or vice versa.

Picked up a set of these York roundheads, pairs of 15-50 and 60. First York pickup!!
They belonged to this very nice gentleman who bought them 45 years ago when he was in his 20s. Condition is pretty decent, might paint them down the line, but will use them as they are for now. I'm hoping to fill out the set but not holding my breath lol.

I've been lucky enough to find some cool York stuff from a few original owners from the 70s/80s. Hearing their stories of how, when, and why they purchased them makes aquiring it so much cooler. I doubt too many people will give a damn in 40 years from now about why some 60 something year old is selling his Chinese made underweight iron plates.

I agree that it's cool knowing the history of old York purchases. Almost 2000lbs of my Yorks came from Marshall University's ( local university) weight room after the football teams plane crashed returning from a game at East Carolina in 1970. Everyone on board died in the crash The newly hired coach replaced all the free weights with Nautilus equipment and a local power lifter,( John Messenger) got all their free weights for nearly free. He kept most to use in his Holley Strength Systems Gym, but I was able to get a decent amount from him.
Now OK for Sig line to be a novel

10's milled and 35's milled nothing forum has not seen but I think e-bay definitely jacked up the prices for York plates.
Seller was saying have you checked e-bay. These plates go for lot more than that I am selling you.

eBay isn't realistic. It's a national market that fluctuates from day to day and week to week. Plus, you've got to hand over 10%+ to eBay and then ship if you want to increase chances of a sale. Go regional and you'll find some locations are swimming in vintage York gear.
Where was this seller located? Is he on here? You need a good rack, a bench, and a 300-lb Olympic weight set. Now, what was your question?

Does anybody have any experience with the York pro style DB's? Curious to know how the quality is. I really like the looks of the York saddle DB rack. It deals with one of my pet peeves with saddle racks - the paint from the rack rubbing off on the flat surface of pro style DBs. So annoying. The York rack has a lip on the saddles to stop the DB's from hitting the rack. Very good feature and one that I haven't seen too much.

I had thought about doing acquiring pro-style dumbbells. The rack with saddles always seemed to be inefficient as it wastes quite a bit of space. Smaller dumbbells could be made from 5lb plates rather than 10lb plates, but if the saddles are setup for even spacing that wouldn't gain any space.
I was going to look for three tier without saddles. Long UHMW strips could be added where the bells meet the rack I suppose.Clive, you're a good guy. - AttyGuy

Picked up my first Kilo Yorks today... 70s 20kg bumpers and a trio of milled 10kg plates. All are like new. Pretty good Sunday.
Picture from my iPotato pre-cleanup. Need to get a "York Family" shot soon and post it up.

Don't know whether this qualifies or not given what some of the forum members have ( DD full sets, milled full sets, 80's and 70's bumpers and what not ) but this is what I have. Pics are in this thread and also some of them in LWIBT.
1. 2 80's Olympic bars
2 One 80's 255 lb set ( without 35's )
3. 70's and 80's Curl bars
4. pair of milled 35's , don't know the age.
5. 2.5 kg milled pair
6. Pair of 10 lb and 5 lb milled plates.
7. Spare 2.5 lb pair and 10 lb pair.
8. one set of Spin lock collars and speed lock collars.
9. One milled 25kg plate.
10. Last but not least , 2 pairs of 45's DD plates ( could be 50's or 60's).
ls1,
Did the power bar came/sourced from Chadsalt? if yes, could you post the pic of that and also how wide is the center knurl?
Edit: Ahh Dumbbells. RH pairs from 5 to 75lbs plus , pairs of 2lb, 3lb and 12 lb. Some of the are USA stamped and Some are not.[M]===[6]▪ Mech6 Crew #35 ▪[M]===[6]
