my cousin almost lost his Benchmade (not sure what model, but it's an auto opener) at Kennywood.
Took his gun off but not that. Somehow security got ahold of it and wouldn't give it back, then handed it to one of the cops that worked there and she said he couldn't have it. Course this pisses him off cause he is a cop and was trying to take it back to his car. So he starts demanding the supervisor and follows security, they tried to tell him to wait outside - that didn't happen, told them he wasn't letting it out of his sight.
So finally the head of security said they would put it away for him till he left and he had a long talk with the guy about making sure he would get that exact knife back at the end of the day before he was satisfied.

Like knives, I'm sort of addicted to flashlights.
Just got a couple of new Malkoff M361-LMH modules this week. Had enough parts lying around to build a Surefire 6P with the M361 and sent it to my old buddy from 2REP that lives on Corse.
I use an M61-SHO with a Surefire body and a clickie tailcap with a LaRue mount as a weapon light on an AR.

I've also got several Maglites around the house with Malkoff and TerraLux units in them.▪█─────█▪ Equipment Crew #53 ▪█─────█▪

I started reading the b/w graphic novels 4 years ago. You can DL them all here and I can give you a reader, comics I think are better than the TV show.

For issue 105+ you can DL individually from the same site.[]---[] Equipment Crew #6 []---[]

I know this was probably not a big deal.... but we went wrong somewhere in this country. The cops working should be more reasonable about a normal citizen taking his property back to the car.... but an off duty cop should get no special treatment.
I went to see a campaign convention in 2004 for GWB.....they had the arena LOCKED down tight (as you can imagine). It took us an hour or more to get through the detail and when we did, one of my buddies remembered he had his knife in his pocket. They don't allow you to take a knife into the same arena as the POTUS.... knife was lost. (They were willing to let him go back to his car though....and this was secret service...he just had no desire to sit through the line again for a $10 knife).
I did the same thing a couple of years ago as I was boarding a plane in Vegas. Completely forgot I was carrying my automatic knife in my pocket (as I carry it just about every day). I realized it moments before I went through security and disclaimed it. They allowed me to run back to checked luggage where some really cool dude when way out of his way to track down my luggage and put it in there for me....I tipped him $20 for the effort and he seemed to be very happy for that.▪█─────█▪ Equipment Crew #4 ▪█─────█▪

A couple of weeks after getting the Cryo I was at the airport and realized I put it in my pocket because it's as automatic as putting my keys and wallet in my pocket. I let TSA know that I forgot it and they held it for me while I went to the gift shop just past security and bought a padded envelope and stamps to mail it back home. Apparently it happens all the time because the cashier asked if it was a knife that I needed it for.

Wow. After doing some reading here and taking some advice from dumb.bell, I decided to buy a Best Belt instead of an Inzer for my first PL meet next month (gotta show up in style!). I put my order in on November 15th, midday for them and got home today to find it on my doorstep. This guy custom makes the belt for each order and they are sized specifically for you. I asked for extra holes in case I turn into a big time fatty later AND I ordered orange, which can;t be that popular of a color. I ended up going with the Prime Cut(13mm) belt which is probably a little overboard for me but I figured what the hell, I'll buy a 10mm if it works out for me. Cannot believe how fast this got to me - 6 days! Here are some pics:
Craftsmanship is awesome, will try lifting 5x5 in it tomorrow. Sqauts and Deads are on the agenda, due for PRs in both!

Dude, pick up your bathroom. . . . Lol.
Sweet belt. Like the orange a lot.You need a good rack, a bench, and a 300-lb Olympic weight set. Now, what was your question?

Belt looks like nice man.. Had my 10mm for a while and don't know why I would ever want the 13. Gj on getting more holes.. I've been going the opposite way .. on the last hole on the tightening end of the medium lever belt after my cut.. After 2 more pounds loss for my New years goal I'm planning to get it a little loose again.

clockwork - Great choice going with BestBelts, you won't be disappointed. You're a braver man than I am to go with the 13mm, 10mm is more than enough for me. The orange will definitely make you stand out at the meet!
My favorite knife is the Boker Wharcom. It's small so it works well for an office/city-dweller like me, but it's really comfortable in the hand and gets the job done. I believe it's discontinued, but there are a lot of variations still available - various Subcoms, Rescuecom. I'm still trying to justify getting the titanium Subcom .
I mostly carry around a Leatherman Squirt S4 (also discontinued, sigh) on my keychain, which is really handy.
My favorite multitool is the Victorinox Swisstool. I also have the Swiss Spirit (which has more ergonomic handles), but the ruler on the Swisstool is too useful for me.

As a backup knife I've been eyeing the Kershaw Shuffle. It's a small little knife with a great price to boot $15-20. It would be a great knife to have for summer barbecues or even holiday parties too because it has a bottle opener built in.
One in the hand to show size.

Thats a great bench and only 2 hours away, but out of my price range. I paid $90 for a real nice non adjustable on Amazon thats been solid. I know more moving parts + quality = more money, but I need to find a deal to make it work. I switched careers about 9 months ago, and took a 60% paycut (fak me), money is tight.
I used ufraw and the google app a lot because it was free, but finally stepped up and bought lightroom about a year ago. I couldnt believe how good my photos started to look just from using LR. Good stuff man!Fierce Five log:

Just yesterday, I did a comparison between using RawTherapee & GIMP, Lightroom, and Photomatix & Lightroom. I ended up with very similar images in each case. I think I achieved a result more quickly with Lightroom and found it easier to tweak things like color temperature later on in the workflow. I'm able to create better masks with GIMP though. I think it'll be the same when I start using Photoshop.
I invite you to look at the link above, but here are the three edits which ended up very similar in the end. I describe them in a lot more detail in the post in my blog.
RawTherapee & GIMP:
Lightroom 5 alone:
Photomatix & Lightroom:
And, finally, here's a much more colorful version using Photomatix with the "Surreal 2" preset. I should note that I prefer any of the images above to this one. It's still fun to look at anyway...
