I better cut back on the broccoli in favour of cheetos .....as i have been told its healthier
I would like to see some science on someone overdosing on Vit C from eating too many Vit C rich foods.....broccoli has so many other nutrients as well
Vit C can be supplemented to high levels without any problems ........Everyday is a lesson. Listen.

I agree that eating clean is a scam for most people's purposes. It really depends on how you look at food. I would say the majority of people (99%) look at food as something to be enjoyed. As for myself and a few others, performance in the gym has the ability to make or break my mood for the day. Sure, call it obsession, but its something I am passionate about...pushing myself to the limits, seeing improvement in my lifts and physique...it's very addicting. For me, I can't help but to view food as fuel. I train 5 days a week for 2-3 hours a day, and I need my "machine" to be functioning at max capacity. Getting adequate protein and healthy fats are key; I also take in a ton of healthy complex carbs. Keep in mind that this is only my attitude for bulking, as I don't give two ****s about gaining extra fat at the moment. On a cut, I actually take the opposite approach; I care less about how well my body functions at the gym, so I loosen up and just focus on hitting my protein/calorie requirements for the day.
Edit: You also cannot overdose on a water-soluble vitamin such as vitamin C. You would literally burst from consumption of food (even liquids...even compressed tablets/multivitamins!) before overdosing on vitamin C.

I was using it as an example to prove a point.
Its not common but
Although daily ingestion of high-dose vitamin C is generally regarded as largely innocuous, fatal nephrotoxicity can occur in some rare circumstances. We report a case where the patient, who chose to forgo any advanced conventional medical intervention (dialysis and mechanical ventilation), had failed to disclose his use of high-dose vitamin C and subsequently died. Intra-renal oxalate crystal deposition was demonstrated at autopsy. Directed enquiry with the family then revealed his high-dose vitamin C usage. Even though fully-informed discussion was limited by incomplete prospective disclosure, it remains the prerogative of any competent patient to decline any treatment, including those that may be considered life-saving.
or you could google itI protest this fraud

This is definitly something I am guilty of. Im in college and see all the guys round me pounding junk food and alcohol and many dont work out and are in fine shape, and many do work out and are in great shape. I however remained afraid to eat unclean and think of myself as just not a "lucky" one that can eat whatever.

Let me begin by challenging anyone to hit their macros on burgers, fries, shakes, & soft drinks. It won't happen. Hitting your macros is almost a self-regulating "diet cleaner". Getting some variety across the food groups helps, especially if you plan on getting enough fiber to crap with any comfortable level of regularity. I also think that making a conscious effort (not a neurotic one) to have a variety of foods hedges your bets in the direction of long-term health. In practice, roughly 10-15% of your total calories (daily or weekly - your choice) coming from whatever you damn well want does not significantly hamper progress, and in many cases actually helps. I'll write a long-winded article about it for WBB soon. Bless those guys for their patience in waiting for articles from me.
