That wasn't meant to counter you or humor you. I'm on YOUR side and you're not getting that dude. You're attacking me for wanting to help people and save them a few bucks. A good number of posters here do that in the supplement section. Buying something that's not necessary. If you have the money why not but if it's only going to mess with your head (as you've admitted) then why bother? Honestly, I sincerely apologize if I came off rude or confrontational to you. I'm not here to make enemies. I'm only here to learn and give advice on what I've learned (the hard way).

sp is the one where it syncs with your phone. V3 is basically the same thing but will require you either plug in your device to the computer or purchase a seperate watch to display the readings. Your choice entirely. Both are on sale right now v3 for 119 and sp2 for 142. Pm me or just ask for the promo code in here if interested

Telling people, hey listen, you don't need to spend money on this if you can't spare the cash (though I think most people aren't so retarded that they can't figure this out for themselves and they probably don't need you to save them) is different than saying it's "ridiculous" to buy one. One way is helpful, the other is ridiculing people for choosing to buy one.
Thanks for the advice. I'll keep that in mind. =)

My definition of a troll is those OPs in red making ridiculous obvious troll threads (possibly from misc). I am not that. Idk if you'd call anyone else a troll who pokes fun with 1 or 2 posts in a iifym thread but I wouldn't. That's just fun between posters. I have no personal problems with you and don't want any. By that I mean any grudge or ill will of any kind because of miscommunication. I already said my piece on why I was trying to sway people from buying the device.
You're 100% correct and after re-reading my previous posts I did come off ridiculous myself.

I don't get you. I'm sorry, but you're cutting pieces out of my paragraph and changing their meaning. Either that or you're misunderstand my message to you. I'm on your side as part of the nutrition community. People like you and me help others with our knowledge. I was only swaying them away from spending money. I'm really not trying to be funny lol.

why the fuk are you guys arguing about this in here? If you think it's a waste of money create another thread for it. This thread is for people who have this product/are looking to purchase it. Keep it up and negs coming your way

It's $150 ffs. If $150 breaks someones bank then..doubt they have plans to buy one of these. Also if you've noticed people in thread tend to buy off of eBay @ even cheaper prices. In the end I can probably make half of what I spent by selling the thing. No point in swaying people from buying something that may help them. It's not like it's a completely useless device.

I was going to stop, but feel like I should respond. I for a long time defined a troll as some that makes an OP that is controversial, offensive, or baits people. Over time I have seen some many people call posters trolls that so much as disagreed with them. So, my definition changed. I don't hold grudges from thread to thread and usually don't hold a grudge in the same thread for more than a few mins unless they keep going, which is not the case here.
I've said it before, I may get angry easy, but I'm also quick to let something blow over, apologize, or forgive. If you feel like it is necessary to be critical of the device in this thread, I have no problems with that. I got my irritation out and honestly don't care about it anymore (not saying you will, just sayin'). Also, thank you for saying I have knowledge. I don't really think I do but will take whatever compliment I can get.
Bottom line is I needed it. It wasn't a simple matter of me using common sense and using the formula in the sticky (as retarded as that seems). I can see by the under eating in this thread, I wasn't the only one.

That's actually the best post I have read in the last 3 pages.
"I want to buy a bugg." - "You don't need it, bruh." - "It is proven to work and I got money to spend." - "Nu-uh! You don't need it! Don't you dare to decide yourself what you are going to do with your money!"
**** this.
Edit:
"formulas work just as well, guys"-guys: no, they don't. At least not for everyone.
They estimate me a good 500-1000 kcal over what I actually expend.
3500 kcal maintenance my ass.
That said: I don't wear my armband every day anymore, either. I got a pretty good grip of what my expenditure is on various days. I just plan to wear it if something drastic in my lifestyle changes.
Do I regret the ~200 bucks I spent on the thing (including subscription, overseas shipping, ...)?
Hell no. Second best piece of tech I have ever bought.

The problem with formulas is
1. some are outdated and not based on LBM+ many people dont have an accurate BF assessment.
2. The activity multiplier is too subjective and open to interpretation
1.2 = Sedentary (Little or no exercise and desk job)
1.3-1.4 = Lightly Active (Little daily activity & light exercise 1-3 days a week)
1.5-1.6 = Moderately Active (Moderately active daily life & Moderate exercise 3-5 days a week)
1.7-1.8 = Very Active (Physically demanding lifestyle & Hard exercise or sports 6-7 days a week)
1.9-2.0 = Extremely Active (Hard daily exercise or sports and physical job)
What if you have a desk job but workout hard daily?
What if you workout 2x a week but are very active?
What if your hard exercise is weight training and someone else's is cardio?
What if you think you are engaging in hard exercise but it is really light of vice versa?
What constitutes a physically demanding lifestyle compared to moderate?
What is a physical job? Painter, shopping cart pusher, carpenter, or furniture mover?

Hi hankst,
You should try the equation I use
EER = [662 - (9.53 x age)] + PA x [(15.91 x weight/kg) + (539.6 x height/m)]
PA
Sedentary (typical daily living activities) - 1.0
Low active (plus 30-60 min moderate activity) - 1.11
Active (plus >/ 60 min moderate activity) - 1.25
Very active (plus >/ 60 min moderate activity and 60 min vigorous or 120 min moderate activity) - 1.48
Plus is on top of sedentary daily activities
Give that a try!

I agree. My days have way too much variance in them to not use it. My cal expenditure varies by 400-700 some days. I can't look at a day and think well legs is 300 more so I'll put 300 more in my diet. I think I was just being emo about this. I really doubt I'm going to be satisfied with an average. I like knowing what it is day to day.

Again, what constitutes moderate vs vigorous activity?
Grocery shopping? Walking on treadmi at 3.0, 4.5, jogging at 6.5? Lifting (differences in traning intensity).
I dont think we are good estimators of this. I fee like I bust my butt when I ift, but have found I burn more going to the grocery store.Founder of MMDELAD

Do any of you use IF?
hankst your post about Martin's 3:1 ratio of muscle to fat as opposed to my 1:3 ratio really got me thinking that I should give IF a shot
