Agreed lol.
It was shaping up to be a blockbuster with the way pace in practice sessions were looking, and also the lap times on track were extraordinarily close between Ferrari/McLaren/redbull ... But yeah the race was a procession. I needed max to win so the last 4-5 laps were a decent pressure cooker for my heart rate, otherwise a yawnfest.
6 for 6 on profitable F1 weekends.... Really thought this was going to be my first loser of the season.Spoiler alert; you die at the end.

Oh yeah - WTF was with Perez doing absolutely ZERO defensive driving when Norris came out of the pit lane behind him?
Like, seriously that was a chance for Perez to do something to give max another 5-10 seconds of breathing room from Norris, instead he just lets him by with no defensive movement the very first time Norris had DRS. Exact same thing with Leclerc.
What a useless kunt.Spoiler alert; you die at the end.

I’ve always said that the cars true pace lies somewhere between Max and Checo. Car never was as good as people made it out to be IMO. Max just drove the absolute fk out of it.
I suspect the rest of this season will be a display of that…Max having to drive the absolute fk out of the car to stay on the podium.

This^
Canada will be a little more of a power track, so not a maximum downforce circuit like Imola. Having said that, it seems likely Ferrari will bring a bigger fight to Canada this year, but I think McLaren will be Max's biggest hurdle in Monaco. It's crazy how easy it is to write off Perez at this point.... Won't be surprised if he gets leap frogged by Norris and sainz soon.Spoiler alert; you die at the end.

Max will definitely win the championship but they could absolutely lose the constructors with Perez’s garbage performances this year.
The only thing helping them now is McLaren and Ferrari still aren’t consistent in both drivers placing top 4 or so every race so points keep getting distributed between the two fairly evenly. If Piastri can get it together and start consistently placing top 4 with Lando…I think they can win the constructors if Checo is back to his **** of last season where he can’t crack top 5 most races.

Max is currently 3.2 to win qualifying if any of you want to grab it!
At the power peak at the exit of the tunnel and the run down to the Nouvelle chicane below, Verstappen’s top speed is 172.7mph. This compares with 176.5mph for Leclerc, 177.7mph for Hamilton and 178.3mph for Alonso.
This is a typical Red Bull tactic for Friday practice. Gains on engine modes being turned up to full whack for qualifying – which will also be the case for the rest but likely to a lesser extent elsewhere – are to be expected for Verstappen’s squad.Last edited by HMFIC_BROWSIN; 05-24-2024 at 02:58 PM.

WTF has happened to Alonso? Time to retire if you're getting beaten by Lance ****ing stroll.
All the old boys are getting schooled by their teammates now.
Alonso
Ricciardo
Hamilton
Perez
But yeah, at this rate Perez will lose RB the constructor's title.Last edited by Tuga88; 05-25-2024 at 11:43 AM.

IDGAF about “iconic” and “prestige” and whatever other bs words F1 wants to use to justify this race staying on the calendar, this race needs to fking go immediately. Even more of a snooze than Imola was, especially after pit stops were basically deleted after the red flag. Until they shrink the cars by half, this race is absolutely fking stupid. Also Sainz needs to go blow someone in the stewards room for letting him restart P3 because there’s no way he deserved that.

This is what you get when drivers know passing on track is almost impossible AND pit stops are done away with due to a lap 1 red flag. They should just award the fking points on Saturday after qualifying. Doesn’t matter how good your race pace is (or isn’t), you can’t do anything with it anyway.
Monaco has been needing to be done away with for many years now. There’s far too many other places that want races that could actually bring GOOD racing.
