That fail pinched a good bit. I can't help setting it on the belt when it comes down too fast for me to get out of the way. I hit the 205 for a dozen or more singles and was pretty much gassed when I went for the 225. I have a better video of the equivalent of just a high pull with the same weight from earlier in the workout but I smacked that one off my chest faster than I could stand up.
Edit: **** that that video's not going at the top of the page

I'm too lazy to post it. I think Deez or trah can vouch for my weirdness.
Bawls energy drink is the shiat and the root beer isn't bad. I use to drink them all the time in high school.
I hope I didn't miss anything good!

Long time no talk PL Fam. Have I missed anything fun?
Other than my training, life is going great. Thesis coming along, had a successful interview in South Carolina even though I don't wanna take their offer, getting the offer I actually want this week, and won a bunch of money on the Ravens. Also, I had got with this older woman a few times and was under the impression she had no kids. Saw her c-section scar and was like wtf. Later found out one of her sons is older than me. Feels good?Best Meet Lifts:

Pendlay loves the push press.
The push press has more carryover to pressing in general – bench press etc. – than any other upper body exercise. Show me a guy who can push press a big weight and he's going to be able to excel at any other pressing movement, even if he's never done it before.
A big bench presser doesn't get that same carryover. I don't want to have 400-pound bench pressers who can't do anything else. The guy who can do heavy push presses doesn't have that problem. He's strong at everything.
And that can't be done with the strict military press either. It's too hard to get it moving. You have such a weak point at the start that it limits the amount of weight you can use.
With a push press, you can put 10 to 20% more weight over your head. You're forced to develop the ability to recruit those muscle fibers very quickly because you're pushing the bar off your shoulders with your legs and then your arms have to come into play, fast, so it doesn't stall. The ability to do that is very, very valuable.
Second, with the push press there's just a huge overload at the top. That last six inches at the top is like doing a partial. That has a powerful effect on the body.Sheiko Training Log!!!

I havent focused THAT much on PP, but I just didn't think it had much carryover.
Even the fact that you're overloading vs a strict press, you're still using weight thats no where near your max bench(usually).
I feel like strict press has more carryover to my bench because of how much strength is built in my delts in the beginning of the movement. not at the top. what do I know though, I'm weak.'
I like to use PP's not to use bigger weights than I can strict, but to do rep work with weight I can only strict press for 1 or 2 reps. in the 90-100% 1 rm range.Recovering fatass

Interesting weekend....
1) Knocked the wind out of myself with an axle.
2) Followed up by doubling my best axle C&P single.
3) Went to the Highland Games and now want to make a caber and find a 20ish lb stone.Strongman Training Log: http://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=138026593

I had a similar situation once. I had always been interested in older women but I had never been with one. Then I met a chick at a martini bar on Halloween...I would have guessed that she was in her late thirties or early forties. Either way, she looked pretty good. Sort of like a Jennifer Aniston or Demi Moore....a little older but still pretty hot. I started talking to her, got her number, and planned a date for a few days later. While out on the date she told me that her birthday was coming up soon and that she would be turning 51. I was getting ready to turn 25. I ended up hooking up with her pretty regularly for about 2-3 months. My roommate thought it was weird but aside from that no one said anything. She never had kids so her body was still in really good shape too. I didn't realize how strange it was until we went out for drinks one night and everyone kept looking at us funny. It was then that I noticed that I was the youngest person in the bar and she was the oldest. For some reason I felt really awkward after that and I broke it off shortly thereafter. After that experience, I still like older women but I think the age gap would have to be a little narrower.
