I am sure some of the people at the gym are motivated by the things you try... nothing worse than doing the same thing constantly.
Shoulder continues to improve.

Thanks for the support guys.
Started working on my ankle strength so I've added these foot hold weighted pull ups into the end of my back workout.

Hi Lou!!! Thanks for the kind words.
Not bragging, just sharing my enthusiasm for the progress my shoulder is making after what felt like a devistating injury just before NinjaWarior and a very painful summer. Today it tolerated a modifed 70 lb one arm snatch of sorts without much effort and zero pain. I think had 100 in me but Im being cautious.

I made a little more progress with my one arm snatch. My form is still garbage but 105 lbs is coming up pretty easy anyways. More importantly, my shoulder is pan free doing them, which is huge because it wasn't that long ago I needed help just to change my shirt.

Beautiful work with the one armed snatch Chris! That vid of the 105 from the side was amazing .... just a perfect upward path and all done in a 1 second vid
It's hard enough doing a one-arm snatch with a light kettle bell or dumbbell but doing it with a barbell and at 115lbs is huge. Are you doing any regular (2 arm) snatches? I've never seen you do those before, but this would imply that you can do at least 105kg for a snatch
Great work as always Chris!"Better to wear out than rust out!"

Thanks Andrew. I haven't done any true snatch work partly because I don't have proper shoes and partly because I think they're harder on an ailing shoulder. By that I'm talking about the ROM limitation that comes when both shoulders are tied together by way of the bar.
I also just think the one arm snatch is cooler and more old time strongman.
Edward Aston is my hero (he could one hand snatch 180 and weighed 172).
In the United Kingdom, on July 24, 1913, at Crystal Palace, London, Edward Aston became the first Englishman to lift 300 lbs. overhead with one hand. Amongst his variety of feats, Aston could do a single arm snatch with 180 lbs. and single handed clean to the shoulder with 250 lbs./113.3 kg."I'm not a Ninja, but I played one on TV." -cmoore, American Ninja Warrior (ANW 7,8)

sorry for spotty updates..
Shoulder is healed and feel bulletproof.
I've tossed my hat in the ring for ANW8. Selection is never assured but I'm hopeful that I'll get one more chance at winning it all for Shriners Children Hospitals

Meant to post this one a while back for Andrew...
1-18-2016 Shoulder's feeling good enough to start adding more and more rotational movements (especially external rotation) so I've started doing these again. 70 lb dbells are not that much but feels like a win after all my shoulder went through in 2015.

Both of those vids are amazing Chris! I'd love to do just one muscle up and you're doing them so easily and quickly that you can do them with claps
, and 70lbs with a freestanding shoulder press like that is a huge feat
Awesome to have the shoulders recovered so well to do both of those"Better to wear out than rust out!"

Today was kind of a big day for me. First time since last year's shoulder injury that I benched 335 without pain or concern. I think I might have had a few more pounds in me yet. Then managed 185 standing overhead barbell press (didnt vid). Very cool to feel like I'm healed up.
