Got my first 600lb pull in a meet Saturday by Deadlifting 605lb on a Trap Bar. After the 2 pairs of 100s, we put on BERG 25kg plates. It was cool to make a 'barrier breaking' lift with plates made by the company that 'started it all' when it comes to Olympic Style Barbells. Not sure if the plates are 'old enough' to be here. If anyone objects, I'll delete the post.

They look good. Those Tonka Toys, however, are too new to be vintage.
You need a good rack, a bench, and a 300-lb Olympic weight set. Now, what was your question?

So I found a set of older olympic plates 45's 35's 25's 10's and 5's for sale and the pairs aren't all the same brand. The 35's are BFCO, the 25's say PACIFIC and I don't know what the 45's are but they look like they're a deep dish style plate?.. Anyone seen these and can help me out with any information about them. Annnd if you know anything about the Pacific plates I'd like to know about them as well I've seen a 45 plate of the Pacific before but don't know anything about those either. .

Those 45's have been discussed before, they are not widely considered to be unbranded Ivanko, and there have been whispers of them maybe being from 'Paramount'. Either way they are great looking deep dish plates, and I'm not 100% sure though if anyone has really confirmed their history. Pacific I know nothing about, maybe the Iron gods will check in...

I always thought they looked sweet regardless of what they are or who made them. If you want to read more about what others have said here, search "Skinny Script Plates". (Not just this thread, search the entire Equipment Forum). A few years ago there were some heated debates about them.
'Skinny Script' was the given name to these mystery plates.
Congrats on the pick up.▪█──────█▪ Equipment Crew #64 ▪█──────█▪

Never knew about the debate on the Skinny Script plates. To me they look like the ones IRONMAN magazine was selling through their Body Culture(?) Equipment Co.

That was the 'many steps, long hallways, and lotta sweat' to get em outta there trip? I think I remember a reference to many Chicken Parms too? Is memory serving me correct?

The ******** lied to you. My bday is actually the 24th.
That was 1 pick up. Epic too. Gene snagged it in 1 ebay ad. He also got the other ad for the globes.
Lol. Your jealous of epic proportions.
Basically. 5 hour round trip. The building was gnarly. We walked straight into One flew over the Cuckoo Nest. I **** you not. It was a walk in rehab center in a 5 floor 60s YMCA. It was wild, very awkward characters.
The trip to get the weights was up 10 stairs across a short hallway and down 5 stairs, across a longer hallway and down 2 flights of stairs. Then down the hall. This was a abandoned section of the building. The total weight count was about 3400lbs. 2 or 3 dumbbell racks and some hardcore weight trees.
Got back home and unloaded, after we each had a chicken parm.▪██─────██▪ Ivanko Barbell Crew #3 ▪██─────██▪
