finally got to the week where i hit 4s with straps up. worked up to 515 pretty easy. decided to hit a heavier single @ 550, moved well despite the walkout being horrible. "walked out" 605 and tried to hold it for a dew seconds to get a feel for it. starting shaking bad reracked it.
1. when the weights get to around 500+, i have the hardest time walking them out especially with wraps. noticed that with straps up, my body has the tendency to start shaking a lil.
2. not sure if wearing my romaleos is optimal for me in a suit. feels like its pushing me forward, especially on sets where the walk out was challenging and my feet arent 100% where they need to be.
was fun though.529/380/650 (1560@293 raw)

That sucks. Im just gonna work around it, heat before, load on the tiger balm and pop an ibuprofen in the morning/evening or before lifting. I hate stupid/easily avoidable injuries.
Wider isn't always better. The majority of raw lifters probably use something close to your "normal" stance.
This^^ We strugglin up here.
SBD wrist wraps made me lose a lot of faith in them. Haven't seen any 100% positive feedback on them, but they were hyped up so much. I can't imagine the knee wraps are much different - just a really expensive wrap.B. Kinesiology

They must really jack up the prices for you guys, they're around the same price as titans here. Wanting to get something less harsh/painful than strangs to use for higher rep stuff and save my strangs for heavy attempts, hardly any info on the SBDs and I've heard very mixed things about titan and metal knee wraps.
Try ice cup massage on your injury btw, helps me massively when my tendon decides to be a dick

After seeing a hard workout you may want to complain and want others to pity you for the work you have to do. Your mom will pity you. Your girl will pity you. I may pity you, but your competition will not pity you. They will step on you, walk over you and spit on you. Boris Sheiko

You're right about the not conforming thing, I've started favouring my THPs over them because of it. SBDs kinda feel like having a ring of metal around your wrist but not all the material is even in contact with it. The THPs are "universal" though which bugs me as I hate wrapping that way.

For wrist wraps? I like the sigs more just because I find the material is nicer. Same for the knee wraps. Sigs give a lot more pop than the THPs do in my experience. Both are good wraps though. THPs are really rough on the skin compared to the other wraps I've tried.YouTube: http://www.youtube.com/user/NorthStrongSC

If I really need wrist support I like the Inzer Iron Z's. They're pretty stretchy and I can really crank them down. I usually use THP wrist wraps but they don't provide as much support for some reason. I broke my left thumb and wrist last year and when I bench heavy I want a lot of support on the left wrist. Even with my THPs cranked on hard it's not usually enough but the Inzer Z's do a great job.
Typing all that out is making me wonder if it'd be worth trying the Iron Z knee wraps over my THP knee wraps...

Anyone ever tried a fairly narrow sumo stance, like shins inside the rings? I've been thinking of transitioning to sumo but last time I tried going wide I popped (read: tore) my hamstring pretty good.

Last day of classes for my undergrad degree today. NOSTALGIA and FEELS.
One week out from CPU Nationals. Poised to break a few Manitoba Open 83kg records, which aren't exactly impressive (458/308/573 and 1300 total), but it'll be neat to have a paper or three saying I have done something in powerlifting.
10/10 review for Connor Lutz as a coach. I am very, very pleased with where I am right now. Yay.468.4/319.6/551.1 @ 92.3 KG; 381 Wilks. (Sep 26, 2015)

I actually started out wider, not super wide, but wide enough to look like a standard sumo stance. At light weights my form would be fine but once it got heavier I would get stuck off the ground, my hips started coming up and back rounded like crazy (like 95% of sumo pulls you see on instagram nowadays). Then someone told me to bring my stance in a bit cause I just didn't have the hip mobility. Then it started feeling better and I kept hitting PR's. My form is still FAR from decent but it's works for me right now.

Sumo sucks stop talking about it.
I just pulled a pretty easy 585 last week sumo and I'm upset about it because I never pull sumo and I hate it but i had 600 in me if I went for it without any hype (actually disdain). My best conventional pull ever was 650 in a meet (got reds for the bar stopping when it got out in front of me before I pulled it back in)Best lifts in Compeition 560/350/650 and a 1560 total @ 290lbs
