Can't wait for this season. Storm of Swords is by far my favorite book. I actually downloaded the audio book thinking I'd listen to it while I'm running but then each chapter was like 30-40 minutes lol no thanks Jeff. Then while I was reading and getting closer to the Red Wedding I looked at the audio book listing and noticed the chapters coming up were Catelyn, Arya, Catelyn, Arya and was so excited cause I thought she was gonna finally meet up with Robb and Cat.

There's usually relatively high quality torrents up within ~30 minutes of the episode ending.
In other news, I'm gonna be a sad panda if we don't see Strong Belwas and Barristan meet Dany tonight.

-I don't like how Tywin was an almost likeable character in S2, and they launch into being a giant ******* in the first ep.

Said a while back that I think that'd be a logical finale to this season, as it happens around 2/3 of the way through the book (and they screw with the timeline of the different storylines so much).

So yeah, that makes sense.

Out of curiosity, why?
Robb was a dumbass for doing what he did with Jeyne Westerling (marrying her, breaking his promise to Walder Frey) The retribution he received may have been a bit excessive, but he deserved some sort of punishment for what he did nonetheless. I honestly felt worse for Grey Wind when I read that scene. *shrugs*

I think Bear and the Maiden Fair will most likely be Jaime rescuing Brienne from the Bear pit at Harrenhal. And if I had to guess the episode for the Red Wedding it would be the second last one titled "Rains of Castamere." Martin is also writing that episode, so it's pretty obvious at that point.

Edit: Apparently Martin isn't writing that one. It would be awesome if we get the Red Wedding that sooner though, but I honestly thought that the HBO guys would push it to as close to the finale as they can.

yeah and HBO is always picking episode 9 for their best ones. pretty sure i read somewhere it is confirmed epi 9 is the red wedding, GRRM himself said its the most shocking episode this season

ive heard this scene is part of the motivation for Weiss and Benioff making the series. hopefully they do a good job building up the intensity of the scene with the loud sh*tty music while keeping it a shock moment when robb gets stabbed. while reading the book you just kinda knew it was gonna happen especially with grey wind not wanting to go near the castle

Found the new episode to be a little boring. I watched the first two seasons before reading all of the books, but now that I know what happens, I don't know if I can enjoy the episodes quite the same. Plus I'm turning into one of those nerds who has to complain every time when something happens in GoT that didn't happen in the books. I'm sure the episodes will start getting better, though, and I'll start to enjoy them more.

Couple notes

1. I was fukcing heated that Littlefinger told Sansa he was going to get her out of KL. In the book Littlefinger's involvement was a really cool plot twist that doesn't come out till later.

gonna reply to this post in THIS thread so I don't spoil anything for the others, but I'm not sure where they're going with this. They introduced Hollard last season, but we haven't seen him since she saved his life. They LOOKED like they were gonna go the appropriate direction, but idk. Any word on if the actor playing Ser Dontos is in any of the episodes this season? I hope so.
