It’s obvious that air fryers and light bulbs do not have built in microphones and cameras as we would be paying far more money for them if they did. Even their manufacturers apps don't have voice control. So yeah, it’s a bit silly that in a world covered by cameras on the street, on phones, computers, your front door, satellites, Cruz is worried about his air fryer spying on him.

Republicans publicly bash Bud Light, quietly pocket Bud Light money

On April 24, Iowa Governor Kim Reynolds (R), who also serves as chair of the Republican Governors Association (RGA), tweeted that Anheuser-Busch is a "Woke Corporation… trying to change who WE are." She promoted a "Real Women of Politics" beer koozie that would support another RGA member, Arkansas Governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders (R). The koozies were styled like a Bud Light can, with "Real Woman" taking the place of "Bud Light." An online video promoting the koozies attacked Anheuser-Busch, saying "[s]ome big companies can't tell the difference between real and fake anymore" and "real women work too hard for this s***." You could buy two anti-Bud Light koozies featuring Reynolds' image for $15.

Alabama Attorney General Steve Marshall (R) attacked Anheuser-Busch in a May 23 Wall Street Journal column as a company that embraced "ESG ideology." (ESG is an acronym for environmental, social, and governance issues.) Marshall, who also serves as the chair of the Republican Attorneys General Association (RAGA), testified at a Congressional hearing earlier in May that ESG was "a clear and present danger to consumers and to our democracy." ESG, Marshall said, was the work of "an unelected cabal of global elites" who are trying to "hijack our capitalist system" and "threaten hard earned dollars of American workers."

But while Marshall publicly decries the "threat" from "woke" companies like Anheuser-Busch, he quietly takes its money. RAGA collected $100,000 from Anheuser-Busch this year. $50,000 was accepted on May 23, the same day Marshall published his Wall Street Journal column attacking Anheuser-Busch by name. (The other $50,000 from Anheuser-Busch to RAGA was donated on April 10.)

Corporations take PRIDE in knowing that people in the LGBTQ community also spend money and buy things.

Corporations trying to retain their legacy customers and grow sales in new demographics is not really something new. Many have clearly shifted to not only "appease" but actually grow their audience among younger people and more socially liberal people.

Is it risky and could hurt them with their legacy customers? Of course, but they see the potential for growth in a new demographic and are vying for it. Look at Fox News.

7, there is a difference between stating that your company fully recognizes LGBTQ+ community and others such as Bud Light and countless others that try to shove LGBTQ+ in all of our faces. The numbers do not lie. Last year at this time DEI was all the rage and corporate DEI positions could not be filled fast enough. Well, that experiment back-fired because it turned off employees and shareholders and customers. Now, these same companies cannot terminate those DEI positions fast enough.

So much BS. Like "green washing" where politicians and retailers want us to associate whatever they have to sell as being green by adding a thin/fake veneer, lots of stuff these days is being "woke washed" so that companies and politicians and whoever can virtue signal how woke they are. I find that shallow deceit even more irritating than actual wokeness.

One example is lots of bathrooms in office buildings I go to. Many of them have a male toilet, a female toilet and a disabled toilet. This is actually slightly offensive to disabled who are treated as an afterthought or different. Everywhere I've worked for ages in modern buildings the architect could just as easily added an extra cubicle to the male and female toilets instead and provided enough access for chair access and emergency alarm cord etc, (that's a different issue though).

Anyway, these disabled toilets which are a larger room with the toilet and hand basin etc in one room. They've been relabeled as "disabled and all genders inclusive" with a note below "these toilets are available for everyone".

Adding some stupid sign they get to tick the box that they are inclusive in the workplace and virtue signal. Don't know about you guys but if it is a large multinational company I see they love doing this sort of ****. They'll make no concerns about being a more moral company in general or anything difficult and real, but they love a bit of virtue signaling and box ticking. Woke wash.

As if they are acknowledging their displeasure that we are talking negatively about a political party's obsession with transgenders from K-12 schools to sports and war against women.
