Can't believe Sony has sold one disk version PS5 to be honest. It's 2021.

Perhaps if I were younger and money was tight I'd get it for reselling games but as an adult the convenience of digital and the hassle of resealing a game just isn't worth the little bit of money.

Right I been there and did that for years myself. Buy 2 get 1 copy free, resale value, sales sales etc and it saved me pennies but getting rid of all the clutter disc swapping, etc more power to those who like their physical versions but it’s really going to die out. I can’t explain now I’m just really happier since digital.

I still buy switch game copies. Ps5 no. Not even XBONE series x. And I have my br + 4K movies still. But I recently went all digital on movie and tv too now.

I like the ease of use. But if you can and like discs to save pennies or for any reason, I encourage you to buy the console you’d be most happy with.

Correct. The only real use is the blu-ray drive and honestly can't remember watching a movie from disc for the entire ps4 Gen honestly. It's all about streaming now.

I’m sure of it. That’s why I won’t part with my Ps5. It’ll still be there when the heavy hitters start dropping. There’s, rumors that sly Cooper 5 is revealed. I’m following Wolverine and Spider-Man 2 and can’t wait to see more of those shown off.

or u could spend the extra 100......resell any game that you don't like or will never touch again back for like 80% or more value for the rest of the life of the ps5...absolute no brainer. I'm not saying make the effort to ship it through ebay....sell it locally..takes 2 seconds for someone to come pick up down the street or from a public place. I bought games like Miles Morales for 50 and sold it back for $55 once i was done

That's the thing, I'm not in the USA. Don't have eBay here, there's no Gamestop or easy way to trade games. All physical games are imported and are taxed. It's technically possible to buy used, there's classifieds and whatnot but it's not worth the hassle for me. If I want a game, it's worth the time and convenience to just fuking buy online and download than to go searching in the very limited classifieds for a physical copy.

I'm glad they made a digital version this time around.

Listen, I dfidn't mean to offend you, just laying my opinion out there. I am saying I can't comprehend reselling games currently but am aware if I was younger and poorer it might be worth the hassle for me. I am one of the cheapest gamers I know too. I only buy PSN bucks when they are 25% off and rarely ever buy games at full price on release. You are right, saving money is saving money and the poor and rich can enjoy and benefit from doing so, although at varying rates of return relative to overall worth. But my point was more the hassle of switching disks and buying them and reselling them is just not worth it to me. Even if I had to pay full retail for every game and I could resell for just 5$ less, the hassles aren't worth it to me.

With digital I feel like I don't own the game. It's in the cloud and it can be removed at anytime for any reason. For $70 with disk it's right there in my hands. And I can trade in games I don't play. Digital is just a way for companies to have even more control.

A good example would be what Rockstar recently did, they removed GTA 3, Vice City, and San Andreas from the online store. You can no longer buy them, so you're forced to buy GTA Definite Edition

Good to know on turtle beach never bought from that brand. My hyperX crapping out on me and saw some deals on TB. Best buy is having a deal on RE8 for $20 if anyone is interested.

I've owned 3 different SteelSeries headsets in the past decade, and they are by far my favorite brand. If you have a PS5 I don't think you can beat the Arctis 7P+. The Pro Wireless has some better features and sounds but isn't nearly as good of a value with the price margin increase, especially considering the unit was build for the PS4 and lacks some features and isn't nearly as user friendly with the PS5 UI as the 7P is. I ended up getting rid of my Pro Wireless because of this, even though it's a better unit. Hope they release an updated version as I do miss the swapable batteries.

Neat video is neat. I can listen to Mark Cerny speak all day, he's one of the few people that manages to take all the nerdy technobabble and bring it to a level that dumbasses like me can understand, this guy should go become a lecturer at a university or something, his classes would be interdasting as fuk. As for the video, bit of a re-tread and stuff that we already know, but I liked him touching upon the compression stuff... The stuff he spoke about in the keynote regarding the compression is finally bearing fruit and the results are fantastic. Hopefully the system can keep flexing as the gen goes on and not allow for games to bloat up to riddiculous levels.

Played the first 2 hours of GOTG today. Surprisingly not that bad. Good soundtrack. Banter isn’t entirely cringe. Kind of a little Uncharted-y in a way.

DS1 was my first so prob still my fav next to Bloodborne. Remaster isn’t a very impressive remaster but 60fps is nice

Edit: picked up the surge/surge 2 bundle on steam for like 12 bucks as well. Kinda wanna get DS3 on steam too and play the convergence mod. It’s half off as well
