Probably a little off topic, but it fits the idea of dressing like you are ready to accomplish something. My grandfather just recently passed away, and I thought about him when I saw this thread about fall clothing. He ran a little country store and sold pretty much everything people needed since the nearest town was an hour drive. One of the few luxuries the farmers in the area enjoyed was a good pair of boots before winter set in, and he sold Red Wings for the entire 50 years he was in business. He always wore Iron Rangers, and I kept his last pair when we were going through his things, just as a memento. Definitely not sperry/polo style, but I think I'm going to pick up a pair this week anyway. I really like the old school style of them with jeans... plus they are kind of sentimental. I hope I can get half as much accomplished in mine as he did.
It never took long for his to look like these.

Attention S&P Brahs
Brooks Brothers has started what appears to be a Labor Day Sale on their "Clearance" section items. I just picked up 2 Sport Shirts Long Sleeve online for $55 and change which includes shipping & tax. The items are about up to 60% off original ticketed price. It must have started today because I checked the same shirts yesterday and it was at least $34 and change each. Now it is starting at $27.80 per shirt and up.
This applies online and in-stores. Do not forget to register an account and receive an instant email for $10 off $50.

Vintage Oxford
That what you're looking for?
I know RL makes a similar oxford and those can be found easily at most macy's I just saw some last night at the Macy's near me, they had two colors.. a light oxford indigo blue and washed out salmon color. The one I linked from V.V. has the frayed look.Fitness Journal:

solid colored oxfords (blue, white, yellow)
chino shorts/pants (lt khaki, red, etc)
surcingle/d-ring belts
sperries/sebagos
clarks or another boot youre partial to
you really dont have to spend much money. remember fit is everything so for example just because there may be a great looking PRL button down for 12.99, but if it doesnt look great on you dont buy it
apparel and others, casual (for the most part)

Quick question. Where do you brahs get RL polos the cheapest?
I have a Factory Store in my city and when on sale they go for around $40ish. Is there anywhere online I can get them for less?

I need more OCBDs for the fall. I hate that summer is closing out, but I still have a lot of summer left. It was 105 today so I have plenty of time left with my seersucker shorts, sperrys, and rainbow sandals. I'm excited to break out the pea coat this winter, I've put on quite a bit of weight since I wore it last.

This.
I have always wondered what the point of these boots with smooth soles is. Here in Canada people wear boots because its too wet, muddy and/or snowy to wear shoes and when the tread wears off the soles the boots got in the garbage. Maybe you 'mericans are trying to prevent rattle snake bites?
I have a pair of bean boots, timberland workboots, Terra Lite workboots and a pair of these badboys from Dunlop for when all hell breaks loose
These Alfred Sargent boots would be much more practical for maintaining the look in harsh conditions...

Thinking about the next 100 feet.
With those who don't give a damn about baseball, I can only sympathize. I do not resent them. I am even willing to concede that many of them are physically clean, good to their mothers and in favor of world peace. But while the game is on, I can't think of anything to say to them. ~Art Hill
