'mirin...this was my first ever "challenge" (and it obviously wasnt official or anything) so im just curious how easy was it for you? Also did you mix up the flavors? I dont think I could have finished it if I only had 1 flavor. Getting to mix it up each couple spoonfuls definitely helped in keeping it somewhat enjoyable

I'm less thrown off by the overall calorie count and more by the massive sugar content. Not that I am sugar-phobic or anything, but I have to imagine a quantity like that consumed in one sitting would leave you feeling like you'd been run over by a fleet of trucks. Twice.

I was actually inquiring in the most literal sense. The link implies they are already allowing pre-scheduling for the challenge. Was just curious as to whether you'd already made arrangements. I know you're down eventually. I just wanted to know how soon I can expect glorious pictures of your conquest. Also saves you from having to worry about the previous winner's time unless another heavy-hitter completes it early on.

Interesting advice for those who are just getting their feet wet. Any vets want to weigh in based on personal experience?

I stumbled on to his site by way of YouTube, where I saw him do a seven pound burrito. I was doing research for this...
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Twk0M...AuVO4w&index=1
I think I'm going to give it a shot some time in October or December, depending on my schedule. I've got a couple of guys who wanted to go with me to witness my attempt. I'm not doing the annual group challenge, just to clarify. I'm only interested in the standard eater vs. food version. I'll take any pointers offered.
Edit: No time limit as far as I am aware, though I will check before driving over. I think it's just a capacity challenge.Last edited by Crucifist; 09-21-2013 at 02:43 AM.
