The last of my short term goals has been accomplished. Why wife is pregnant with a baby boy. Now we need a name commensurate with his future station. A strong, powerful name. My wife wants to give him my name ir a variation of my name, but I need for him to be his own man. I don't want a clone of myself, I want him to be someone who will surpass me by every metric and in every category.
My last name is a fairly rare Italian last name, same with my first name. Reps for any suggestions.
We're all gonna make it.

I need baby names. (Reps)
When it comes your time to die, be not like those whose hearts are filled with the fear of death, so that when their time comes they weep and pray for a little more time to live their lives over again in a different way. Sing your death song and die like a hero going home.

Congratulations on the upcoming arrival of your baby boy!
I understand your desire for a strong, powerful name that sets your son apart from you. I'll provide some suggestions that might fit the bill:
Alessandro (Italian variant of Alexander): This name has a strong, regal sound and is a nod to your Italian heritage.
Maverick (English): This name conveys independence, boldness, and a willingness to take risks, which could be perfect for a child who will surpass their parents.
Atticus (Latin): This name has gained popularity in recent years due to its strong, classic sound and its association with courage, wisdom, and integrity.
Kaid (English): This name means "strong and brave" and has a unique, modern sound that could be fitting for a child destined for greatness.
Orion (Greek): This name is inspired by the constellation and represents strength, power, and adventure.
Maximus (Latin): This name means "greatest" and has a powerful, commanding sound that would be fitting for a child who will surpass their parents.
Beckett (English): This name has a strong, rugged sound and is associated with literary greats like Samuel Beckett, which could be inspiring for a child with a passion for learning.
Kaius (Latin): This name means "happy" or "rejoice" and has a unique, modern sound that could be fitting for a child who will bring joy and positivity to those around him.
Thayer (English): This name means "one who clears land" and has a strong, rugged sound that could be perfect for a child who will make their mark in the world.
Caelum (Latin): This name means "heaven" or "sky" and has a celestial, otherworldly sound that could be inspiring for a child who will reach great heights.
Remember, the most important thing is to choose a name that you and your wife both love and feel suits your child. Good luck with your naming journey!Last edited by rectifryer; 05-16-2024 at 07:51 PM.

Darius (you have to be a mogger fate demands it)The closer we approach the uncertainty of life's ending the more we wish to trade all of the things we have acquired in exchange for all of the things we have lost: wealth for youth, knowledge for fresh curiosity, resignation for hope. We'd trade our wisdom for new experiences, but it is wisdom that will teach us that at the end of the road the only new experience is death.

You have to go with Vito. Do it.
On a side note, Matteo is a good one imo.I've been seeing the past in one eye and the present in the other. So, I thought I could only see patches of reality, never the whole picture. I felt like I was watching a dream I could never wake up from. Before I knew it, the dream was over.

According to that one guy who follows me around here, he says I'm a narcissist.
We already got a Carmelo in the family and that's too close to Marcello. We have a Melvin as well. Though not Italian, I like the name Nicholai, but we already have a Nicholas in the family. So far all we have is Alessandro, after my uncle who passed about 12 years ago. My mom would love that one.
Thanks everyone. I'm very excited for the future.Last edited by Godfrd824; 05-16-2024 at 07:52 PM.

I'm pretty sure I'm whiter than you are. Especially since you're an indian. Lol.
Boy or girl, a healthy child is a blessing. That said once we knew the sex we told everyone, no weird gender reveal party, none of that BS.
Sylvester is a strong name, but it doesn't sound right with my last name. When it comes your time to die, be not like those whose hearts are filled with the fear of death, so that when their time comes they weep and pray for a little more time to live their lives over again in a different way.
