    IT Degree or Power Lineman trade?

    Originally went to this school since it has a power lineman course.
    Stats about this job: Easy to make 120K+ w/overtime very rapidly
    Tough work and can die in an instant

    IT Degree
    salary ranges from 40k-100k depending on the job but it'll most likely take a while to even get near the 70s
    more school
    constant changes in tech

    Am in PT. Have treated several linemen. Dudes are real men SRS. Cant really have fear or anxiety, they seem like the type that be like frontiersmen in the olden days.

    Most had wrecked shoulders by their 50s. IMO go for the degree

    Something to consider is if you're a lineman you may be required to be on call, and when you're working your way up to get seniority for a good territory you may be getting shipped all over and that life isn't for everyone.

    I work a job with similar conditions and I fuarking hate being on call. Quality of life sucks, and living some where you hate and not being able to disconnect from work when you get home is horrible.

    Making 90 a year currently and I hate my life. Only working to save for hair transplant and down payment on a house. (Hair started falling out hard think due to stress tbh).
